The staff were friendly upon checking and whilst in the restaurant. The Premier breakfast to me is not now Premier hard fried eggs took 8 to find a runny egg waste! No orange juice now orange squash terrible. The room was well used and badly needs TLC they have taken out the sofa bed so you have to sit on the bed with your cup of tea Premier Inn you are going in the wrong direction. The room was very very noisy on a main road even though its double glazed.

Hotel's Favourite
Have stayed at this Premier Inn a number of times prior to going on a cruise from Southampton. Value for money, clean comfortable beds and great customer service. We arrived today (29th February 2024) and were greeted by the lovely Sara who checked us in. We witnessed Sara providing everyone arriving, with the same warm, friendly, courteous, welcoming manner… readily answering numerous questions and queries. Also ensuring restaurant reservations were booked, and everyone knew the procedure for paying car park fees etc etc etc. This warm welcome gave us a positive start to our hotel stay. Sara is a true asset to this hotel and a fantastic ambassador for Premier Inn UK. This hotel is great value for money and it’s meal deal offer of 2 course dinner and breakfast is great value for money. Rooms are not luxurious but they are clean and contain the usual Premier Inn hotel facilities and amenities We had pre-paid our neal deal at time of booking. Welcomed to the restaurant on 4th floor by waitress Shirley (another great ambassador for Premier Inn UK) Shirley was our waitress on previous visits here. She quickly took us to our table and explained our options for the meal deal dinner. Throughout our meal Shirley was continually ensuring dinner guests food orders were taken, drinks ordered, food served and everything was ok. We ordered tomato soup and chicken coujons for starters and fish (haddock) with fries and garden peas for mains. All were delicious 👍 We were too full for any desserts. Tea is served in a cup, or teapot if you request a pot of tea. There is a bar area alongside the restaurant but we didn’t use it this visit. This hotel is an excellent hotel in the (budget hotel category) but from our experience today… has a 5* customer service from its staff, especially from receptionist Sara and waitress Shirley. We have booked another stay at this hotel for 20th June 2024 and are hoping we are fortunate that Sara and Shirley are working at the hotel that day 🤞🤞🤞🤞

Very pleasant 1 night stay before boarding a cruise. Staff were very courteous and attentive. At the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast we were seated quickly and waited on immediately with our requests dealt with perfectly (one member of our party has gluten free allergy, separate menu provided). Manager at breakfast KASIA was incredibly polite and looked after all our needs. We will certainly be returning in the summer for another stay.

Nice clean hotel. In a great location. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Kayleigh on reception who recommended some good activities to do nearby. The rooms were a good size for a family of 4, and the breakfast was great, lots of choice

We live in Guernsey so often use this hotel for cruising or shopping. The staff are lovely and very helpful. We used this hotel x3 in December and would particularly recommend chatting to James or Kasia if you require any advice about local places to visit.

We stay in premier inns around the country quiet frequently. They are always pretty similar and you know you will get a good sleep and a good breakfast in a clean environment. However Southampton city centre was different. We were shocked not only was the room in very poor condition . There was dust attached to the walls. The walls had paint missing. The carpet was stained as was the bed sofa. In addition bathroom had a damp and mold problem which you could smell on entering the room. We checked in late 1am, the guy on the desk had been sleeping and we were tired so decided to sleep and deal with the next day. The bed was clean at least. The next day in day light we could see stains on the wall and some strange blobs on the picture too and at this stage decided to go home and not stay the extra night. They also only had one rather small lift working and were collecting people queuing. We were offered a different room but were not confident it would be any better so we left. Premier inn complaints were great helping me raise concerns over the phone but have not heard back from them and it is almost a month now. (They did say upto 28days). I was hoping for money back for the night we did not stay. They say good night sleep or a refund just because we were not disturbed we wont get one . But we did not get a good second night because we left , how can you sleep restfully in this smelly oppressive mess.

One lift was broken and other too small and slow so getting to room too ages. Key wouldn't issue on check-in, room cold or hot but never ok due to window not properly closing. Not enough and poorly located power points. Basic wifi was abysmal, despite the city centre location and so it is obviously controlled to try to force you into buying the premium one. Just very disappointed.
