The Premier Inn Southampton Airport hotel is lauded for its prime location near the airport and train station, offering travelers the convenience they need for transit. Guests have called out the cleanliness of the hotel and the comfort provided by its ample-sized rooms. However, some reviewers have experienced issues with noise and found the WiFi and food quality to be inconsistent.
The service receives a mix of feedback, with mentions of both friendly staff and check-in delays. While the value proposition is debated, with some citing it as reasonable and others pointing out overpriced amenities, the overall atmosphere is appreciated, despite occasional disturbances from loud music.

Great hotel for staying the night in the Premiere Inn where I had a long day out in Amsterdam in Holland and where I took the 4pm KLM flight to Southampton from Amsterdam and after we had a 5 min drive from the airport multi storey car park to the Premiere Inn hotel after we went to the arrivals in the Southampton airport my Mum did book the room 21 for overnight located on the ground floor next to the lifts and near to the reception. the room 21 is so quiet and very comfortable and the room 21 are big and my evening meal are good with a fair choice on the menu. the Premiere Inn Southampton airport staff did an awesome job when they looked after my Daddy after he has been sick on the plane during the flight to Southampton from Amsterdam and when my Mum manged to book the room 21 room to stay in this room overnight. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the premiere inn Southampton hotel and I will say a big thanks to the premiere inn Southampton airport hotel for the awesome overnight stay and hopefully I will go this hotel in Southampton airport sometime in the future.

I stayed for one night for work at Premier Inn Southampton Airport. I arrived by train and it was a five minute walk from Southampton Airport Parkway station to the hotel.
Check-in started exactly at 3pm, the staff members at the front desk were neither friendly or unfriendly, best described as perfunctionary.
My room was fairly spacious with everything provided for a comfortable stay. The bed was extremely comfy with good pillows supplied. The shower worked well and wall mounted soap-dispensers were provided.
I enjoyed my short stay, there were some service issues including many attempts to gain entry to the room as the entry card clearly wasn't working and it was met with indifference by the reception staff members. It's a short walk from the station and the airport and I would visit again despite the issues I had.

A trip to Southampton to meet up with friends on a cruise. The hotel was easy to find & very conveniently located for transport links into town (train or bus), & the airport. The station is a stones throw from the hotel & the trains to Southampton Central run approximately every 15 minutes. There was plenty of parking (£6 per day, payable on departure with a QR code issued at checkout), the hotel was clean, everything was in good condition, & staff were friendly, helpful & welcoming. We'd read in other reviews to book for dinner at check-in, which we were glad we did as there was no waiting around for a table. We paid for the meal deal which was good value for money...2 courses & a drink for dinner (with the option to pay £2 to upgrade to 3 courses), & a buffet of cooked & continental breakfast items. We were seated promptly & Jason was most attentive on both nights that we ate there. We would definitely stay here again.

Needs a lot of improvements, the WiFi is virtually non existent, our room was so far away from reception, WiFi coverage didn't exist. For the 5th time now we've been given rooms right next to the main road, very noisy indeed, air conditioning is a joke, hardly works at all, absolutely zero benefit, car parking charges are exorbitant! Have risen from £2.50 for 24 hrs to £8 for £24 hrs, cheaper to park in Eastleigh at either the Swan Centre or Mitchell Road Car Park - note on a Sunday evening from 6pm it only costs £2.80 valid till 11am Monday.
Train runs every 30 min from the ststion at Southampton Airport Parkway to Eastleigh takes 4 mins for £4.35 return, trains back every 30 mins too, very reasonable especially for a night out in the town, good food at The Station pub in town and wethetrspoons right outside Eastleigh station.
Premier Inn you need to up your game!

I was allocated a room on the third floor which faced Southampton Airport and the car park Unfortunately, although the room was clean and tidy and the Airport runway was fun to watch in the evening I was woken up at 0130am Although the soundproofing was all closed including the air vents I could still hear HGV lorries going into the Royal mail sorting centre which is opposite the hotel. These lorries continued all night and I fell asleep again about 4:30 am. I I told reception when I went down to have breakfast all they were prepared to offer me was a free breakfast unfortunately when I asked Customer Services about the good night sleep guarantee they said this wasn’t covered and they weren’t prepared to do anything

This time it was quiet disappointing. 1. You have to maintain your facilities. The carpeting in the room is quiet old and tired. 2. The WiFi is a must have feature today and especially for hotel like this, which mainly servers a business visitors. There was zero WiFi in my room and very weak and unstable WiFi in my colleagues rooms on floor 3. 3. The water in the shower finished 5 minutes after beginning of my shower at 6 am. 4. The bath wasn't so clean. I found foreign hair when checked in. 5. The restaurant was closed at 9 pm. I wasn't able to dinner 6. There wasn't even 1 bottle of water in the room. 7. The iron was leaking with water. It is very unsafe and also getting dirty the shirt.

Stayed recently for 2 nights in a family room on a visit to Paultons Park.
The check in process took abit of time due to there only being 1 staff member working the desk with a queue of people to tend to. It looked like they were also trying to man the bar at the same time which is alot of pressure and responsibility for one person!
We stayed in a family room on the first floor (consisted of a double bed and 2 singles) room was clean, roomy and just as we expected - no complaints. We stayed for 2 nights and had clean towels delivered and a bedding change which I wasn’t expecting!
We attended breakfast on the first morning at around 10am - seemed like we’d missed the morning rush as it wasn’t busy and everything was available for us to eat. However on the second morning we went slightly earlier at 9am and it was absolutely heaving. We had pre-booked our breakfasts on our bookings, but upon arriving downstairs we were told we’d need to wait up to 20 minutes for a table to become available (family of 4), yet people who hadn’t pre-booked/pre-paid for their breakfast were being seated before us - personally I do think this needs looking at as I was on the understanding as we’d already pre-booked/pre-paid that would take priority..as it was very busy there were lots of missing breakfast items and only 2 members of staff seating customers, clearing tables and replenishing the foot. They looked rushed off their feet, could probably do with more staff on the floor working.
We ate in the restaurant at tea time on our final evening. Meals were actually really delicious and very reasonably priced! The children’s meals are excellent value for money. We dined at around 6pm and it wasn’t overly busy at all.
All in all we had a good stay here and would definitely return.

Food supply issues were a major issue. Very restricted menu options were available. Water dripping from room above into one of the rooms was an issue! Used car park to drop off cases before going to pre booked airport parking. Queue to check in meant I exceeded the 15 minute unknown period of grace so had to pay £8 to avoid £90 penalty

Based in other reviews we were a little nervous, however all went well. Parking is calculated at the end of your stay with a voucher from reception. We stayed 3 nights, booked an accessible room, but beds were narrow/tiny, PI staff showed us a non accessible bed was Fabulous & oh so comfy. Hotel does show wear & tear but nothing unusual. We would normally Breakfast at PI was too expensive for us, we found a local eat as much as you like for £9 each. Smoking area should be allocated away from entrance & rooms

Check in at the time of my visit was efficient; I somehow managed to avoid any queues but did witness some during my stay. There are contactless check in screens but every time I've stayed here, these have never worked. Staff were friendly and, in general where knowledgeable of my requirements as I had been booked in for a business trip with expenses. The rooms were clean, well appointed and comfortable. The addition of a smart tv and media ports (USB and HDMI) open up a world of functionality; especially for those traveling as a family. The TV links to Chromecast so if you have one; take it!! Evening meals must be booked in advance so please make sure you do this at reception when you book in. Breakfast is just 'turn up' within the allocated timesand is 'all you can eat' buffet set up. WiFi is ok but not the best. My package included free Premium WiFi but I honestly couldn't tell the difference between that and the standard 'free' service so save yourselves the extra cost and stick with the free one. Parking was plentiful when I arrived but the carpark also acts as part of the Airport parking so can get quite busy. Road noise and that from the airport can be quite high at times but the double glazing and secondary glazing take care of that. Rooms can get quite warm with the windows closed but thankfully the aircon is relatively quiet and keeps the room temperate.
Now for the bad bit.....
The restaurant; Thyme, is self contained within the hotel and 'offers' a suitable range on its menu however, there has never been an occasion where 'ALL' items from the menu have been available - so much so that one morning during my stay I was informed that the ovens where broken so there was no cooked breakfast option available. For this I was offered £2.00 credit; which only reinforces the quality of the food served here if they can reimburse £2.00!!! I'm guessing most people only stay the night so never really benefited from this (in my humble opinion!!).
In general, the hotel served its purpose in that it's a comfortable room and food is available. It certainly beats some in the local area (and nationally) and if the restaurant picked up its game then I'm sure it'd see 5 star reviews every time.
Would I use this Premier Inn again? Yes
Would I think of this a good dining experience? No

I'm sorry that I can't really help you. I was just dropping off my wife with the luggage and overran the free period due to only one person manning reception at checkin time of 15.00. As we had previously booked to park at the airport's multi story I transferred the car to there to save any hassle the next morning pre-flight.
