Hotel was easy to find, good amount of car parking available, location was close to centre of town bars/restaurants/etc. The room was nice but facing into the full sun all day so it was really really hot, so needed to keep the windows open and this was not good as the noise from the nearby busy crossroads made it impossible to sleep.
Booked 2 rooms for 1 night for. Work trip Was woken up at 1 am with car alarms going off I was staying on 4 floor with a view of car park Alarms were going of for couple of hours I eventually sighted two intruders checking vehicles At this point I phoned police and reported this Whilst on phone to police intruders made of with a motor bike they stole I went to reception they were not aware of any disturbances and they were out the back (sleeping I suppose chance would have been nice ) I went outside with member of staff at 3 am we’re I showed her the broken alarm which lay on floor There is ctv on premises but doesn’t seem to be any deterrent If you have a vehicles with possessions don’t book this hotel
Received two parking notices with fines totalling £190 for one nights stay. I paid correct amount for parking and can prove it with my statement. Customer service was hopeless as well. Leaving me to sort it out with horizon. Appalling
Noisy plumbing kept me awake ALL night. Literally very loud squeaking from the pipes I think...you could hear it down the chorizo. I complained of course but it was as though they couldn't hear it!.....
We stayed at one of the hottest day of the year so far. The room was stuffy and hot. Due to security reasons I understand that we cant open the window more than the 20cm that’s allowed. In this case i would expect standard air conditioning which it is at the room but not available as you need a code to turn it on. We spoke to reception about this issue and how hot the room was, we were told that only the engineers know the code to turn it on and there was nothing they could do. As a result, we barely slept! I did not expect this from a company such as Travelodge. Very disappointed and i would not recommend this hotel during summer.
A good location and reasonably priced parking. Hotel feels tired and needs a refurb. Noisy from the road outside but no air conditioning in our room so need to keep windows open when warm weather. Convenient location.
Pleasant welcome from receptionist and we were let into room slightly early. I’d booked a family room even though there were only 2 of us for the extra space which was great. Room was dated but okay and had a fan which was a life saver and although there is noise from the traffic we both slept fine. Worked well for us attending a local event. A fridge and air con would be fabulous.
Paint peeling Door lock falling off Hot and stuffy Fan ineffective Pay extra to park Noisy inside and out The worst travel lodge I’ve ever stayed at!!! Receptionist couldn’t care less, couldn’t get a space in car park and had to pay when I did!
The hotel itself was absolutely fine. It was clean and comfortable and in a great location for me! However, it was extremely noisy not from the hotel itself but from the road outside which unfortunately did not make for a great night's sleep!
The room was neat and clean and we had a relaxing time. Only thing I would complain about it Bathroom was outdated. Could do with an update. It would also be nice if it had USB points to charge phones like other hotels do. Overall it was good. We would have got a more better price if we had booked in advance.
