Arrived quite late in the evening, about 10 p.m., but had informed the host so was still able to check in. The room I stayed in was very warm and clean. Breakfast was included and had a nice selection to choose from, including cereal, toast, bacon, sausages etc. Overall, the host made me feel very welcome and was very accommodating.

The hosts are nice and welcoming people, the breakfast is really delicious and big and there's a lot to choose from. The...

We recently spent two lovely days in Southampton staying at Madison House. A lovely old house full of charm and tranquility. We liked the fact that it was so near to Southampton common where we strolled and visited the ancient Cowherds pub. It was possible to walk to the city centre although the short bus ride might suit most people....

I spent about 10 nights over a 6 week period staying at the property and the atmosphere was always warm and friendly. “All rooms are lovely and quiet. Room 5 is on the smaller side and has a shared bathroom, but is more than fairly priced accordingly (so perfect for the budget traveller). If you have (a little) more money to spend, Room 10 is much more spacious, has built in wardrobes and is en suite. However both rooms have plenty of light, and are really clean and comfortable.”
