I stayed here a while ago now. As I started my new job I stay out a lot now. This couple know how to run a b&b. I am six foot and a double bed just doesn't do it, my feet hang over the edge keeping me awake. I had the room right next to the front door. I thought... More

we stopped just one night but we can say our stay was first class, spotless, comfortable bedrooms with all the amenities. The breakfast was very tasty and just enough for all of us,maybe the sausage could have been bigger.

A lovely place in a great location for the Town Centre. Owners were very friendly and the room was imaculate and bed very comfortable. Only minor criticism would be breakfast. Good choices and all very nice but only got 1 piece of toazt and cafetiere of coffee contained just 1 cup. Overall I would recommend but would advise owners to... More

After a lot of research, I chose this b&b due to a combination of the positive reviews, the location, the price and the parking. We arrived slightly before the official check in time, but received a friendly welcome and were shown to our room. We were out exploring during the afternoon and when we returned in the evening our room... More

4 star rated Guest House well deserved. The owner and his wife keep Hunter`s Lodge in excellent condition, our room was spotless and had everything that we needed for our one night stay prior to our flight the next day for our holiday. The Guest house is tastefully decorated, has a lounge with a bar area. The dining room is... More

4th time we have stayed here and all good. Stairs are a little steep carrying luggage but everything else beaut. Excellent breakfast and very good hosts. We will certainly stay here again. Only downside it is a 30 min walk to the town centre and walking back to the hotel is up hill. Taxi's are plentiful.

For a British B&B in a port city, one expects convenience to the ship and other necessities, but not necessarily the pleasant environment we experienced in preparing for a Cunard cruise. The queen room on the front with the bay window and ensuite bath (#2) was very clean and had all of the extras (e.g. tea pot, cookies/biscuits, wifi, etc.).... More

My husband and I stayed at Hunters Lodge for a night and I have to say we were not disappointed. Very comfortable bed and lovely breakfast which was cooked to order. My overall thoughts were how very very clean everywhere was and it's run by a very welcoming couple. If again I found myself in need of accommodation in Southampton... More

I had a single room and it was en suite - which I was pleasently surprised by as I had got the impression from booking.com, mistakenly or otherwise, that there was a shared bathroom. The room contained everything I needed, was clean warm and quiet. I opted for the cooked breakfast and it was cooked to perfection and just the... More

Having visited Southampton many times this was the first time I had stayed at a bed and breakfast. On arrival there was ample (free) parking and I was given a very pleasant and warm welcome. The single room was clean and well furnished and very good value. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was good with shower gel... More
