An ideal location to get around, next to station, close to bars, town and local transport. Easy access to Gunwarf Quay & Southsea. Hotel very comfortable & staff friendly & welcoming. Stayed in a premier plus room which was really spacious & comfortable - good value too. Excellent breakfast with great variety of food. Would recommend this hotel
We were greeted by a friendly smile and easy check in, we were attending an event at the Guildhall and had purchased the meal deal, on discovering that the restaurant doesn’t open till 6pm, they kindly opened it earlier for us and the meal was very good. The hotel is clean with plenty of covid precautions in place, our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was table service due to covid but everything was freshly cooked, nothing was to much trouble for the staff, we would definitely stay again.
Booked the this hotel as its central to everything we wanted to do. Team were great when we arrived and Anne Marie was great checking us in. Anita and jade on breakie was great too, making sure that we got everything we wanted even though they were busy. Price was good and location great. Tesco under the hotel is great for last minute things you need
Awful- Literally a homeless shelter. - The windows are locked shut, so stinks like a hotel which hasn't had any air flow for years. - You cannot control the heating in your room, you have to talk to reception to ask for heating or cooling mode. (Was January and I came down dripping in sweat in the morning). -£5/night for the "ultimate WIFI" this was less than 5mb/s... -Each room is connected by a door to neighbours so be ready for hearing your neighbour move and breath... - Clientele are absolute creatures and management has no control over this, homeless people sleeping in front lobby. soooo bad -Of course everything is non-refundable and the team can only apologise it's not their issue it's the booking company....
Room was very clean and comfortable and a wonderful surprise to find a bottle of wine in my room for my birthday. Hotel perfectly situated for our visit to the New Theatre Royal. On a call prior to our visit, Dan was very personable and took time to ask the reason for our trip. Ann-Marie on reception was very helpful with directions to the theatre.
I have stayed in lots of hotels from budget to luxury but the staff at this Premier Inn went above & beyond, particularly the young lady on reception. They were so helpful and the level of service was equivalent to a 5* hotel! It went above any expectation I may have had. Amazing!
We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel was well placed for visiting the centre and also Gunwharf Quays. The hotel was clean and quiet as was the room we stayed in. We heard no noise our whole stay and the bed was very conformable! The staff were friendly and helpful and we had no issues during out stay.
We were at a reception at guildhall which is a 2 minute walk from hotel so booked a room we paid extra for early check in which we were given our key and told which room we were in and when we arrived into the room it was absolutely freezing so we closed the curtains and turned the heating on this was a family room a double bed and a single kids bed but the room was absolutely freezing so we left to give the room a chance to heat up for us and when we came back it was a comfortable heat but even with the heating on all night we woke up absolutely frozen it was soo cold!!. We thought we would be much better at premier in than the ibis as premier in is known for Comfort the beds were soo noisy even turning in the bed made a creaking noise then u heard the trains going constantly so we decided at 5:30am to get up & check out as we had such a disturbed sleep when we woke up in the morning we opened the curtains to see the weather to see whether we needed boots or trainers would be ok and we were absolutely horrified to notice that our windows had been opened the whole night and actually didn’t have handles to close the windows properly it looks like they have tried to use the curtain wire to keep them closed so had our daughter decided to get up during the night she could of opened the window that wasn’t on a catch and could have easily jumped out the window baring in mind we were on the 5th floor!!! 😡😡 luckily our daughter slept in the bed with us and not on the single bed seriously disappointed in the room especially from a safety point!! Then we had the toilet that wasn’t cleaned properly & had toilet tissue in it such a disappointment!…
The hotel is lovely - room was spacious and clean. Location next to the train station is great and the train noise did not disturb me. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the hotel felt safe and comfortable.
This hotel is well situated in the city centre of Portsmouth, about a 15-minute walk from Gunwarf Quays. We booked a Premier room, and it didn't disappoint. Nice coffee machine with coffee pods, along with a kettle, fridge, iron, ironing board, and glass screen in the shower. The bathroom was clean, although the soaps, shampoo, and body wash were not refilled so didn't dispense any shampoo or body wash. Luckily we had brought our own. Would have been more premier if these items had been seen to. Only one towel left in the room so had to go and request another towel. Also, the lift wasn't working if you called the lift from level 5, meaning you had to locate the stairs to level 4 and then get the lift. Which, luckily we were both abled beings. but if you were less mobile, this would have been an issue. Other than that, a nice stay. Just little niggles that require to be ironed out.…
