First impressions of the hotel was not good! Outside the building was just full of rubbish everywhere. Bins overflowing, “smokers area” was disgusting with butts everywhere. It looked like it hasn’t been tidied for a long time. Inside was ok. Room was a decent size, bed was ok, not as comfortable as some premier inns we’ve stayed in. The breakfast was ok, but only Luke warm! Don’t think we’ll stay at that premier inn again.
Lovely bed and quality bed linen. Detachable shower head which was much easier. Plug sockets and usb by the bedside table, many rooms do not have these at this hotel. Easy check in and easy location near to the car.
Last minute getaway for a change of scenery and quality time with my partner. And it was perfect. Staff are so friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and fresh, the room was perfect as always when we stay at a premier inn. The breakfast was yummy , our room on 4th floor was so quiet which was perfect … free parking on site, 10 min drive to gunwharf shops .. highly recommend
I had a great stay on New Year’s Eve. The lady checking us in was so lovely! Unfortunately I didn’t get her name. She was so chatty and seemed like she genuinely cared. The room was clean and tidy. It was very quiet! The people in the next room were loud but you could only hear them when walking down the corridor through the door. I was very surprised and happy with the soundproofing of the walls? It made my stay perfect as I am a light sleeper and I didn’t get woken by anything. The hotel is also in the perfect place to travel to Gunwarf Quays. I booked the morning of going and the price was so cheap! I will definitely go again.
Great hotel with parking provided. Convenient location just off the motorway. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean and comfortable with a range of bars and eateries on site or in close proximity. Good value for money.
Check in was long, used the machine all went though apart from scanning a key card, we pressed reception button and eventually a completely rushed off his feet guy came (he was doing the drinks/food serving and reception) and quickly did our card for us, (we checked in early/mid evening and the same guy was again running around first thing in the morning being busy the guy needs a medal) We've stayed at this hotel before and it has always been good, nice clean room, nice new showers, wifi actually worked this time too. breakfast was a little long, had to wait for food to be cooked and when it was brought out it went quickly so unless you waited by the hot food counter you missed out, we was going to ask for scrambled eggs but a few people had asked for some and it took a while to come out so didn't bother. No croissants and only managed to grab 1 pancake, pain-au-chocolate was raw inside, the others were burnt but were cooked inside to be fair lol. Not any fresh fruit salad there and only a few yogurts, it seemed the staff were so rushed they didn't have time to top up things and you had to keep asking to get more things out. What was cooked and came out was lovely and the staff were amazing clearly trying to do so much more than they could. The bed though was horrific, every time you moved on it it made this horrible sound (like rubber against rubber) really noisy that if one of us moved it woke the other up, so we just couldn't get comfy for fear of moving and when we did get to sleep it wasn't long before one of us moved and woke the other up, was all night so we both got up grotty and moody. We waited at check in to speak to a member of staff but there wasn't anyone around so placed the key in the box and left. The beds and all the premier inns we've stayed at before (including this one twice before) have been perfect and had a great night sleep. Hopefully this bed will get sorted so someone else don't have this. Yes I would stay again because the staff are lovely and its clean and its the nearest hotel (with parking) that's closest to my daughter who is in university in Portsmouth so will be staying again, just hopefully not the same room. …
We had a great stay new disabled rooms are great. The staff are great friendly polite. due to staff off sick, the evening staff of 2 worked their socks off to please well done to them we really enjoyed our meal worth the wait
Always as expected clean and tidy, staff friendly. WiFi expensive if only required for a couple of minutes. Free WiFi very slow and could not connect in time even with staff help. Smaller WiFi packages would be helpful. My other concern was the need for none slip tape applied were you step up and down from the shower tray. When dry OK when wet, deadly. Otherwise all consistent.
We often stay at the Premier Inn Port Solent Portsmouth as my Son lives here...the service is second to none...nothing is of any trouble..the staff are very friendly but most of all the rooms are very comfortable, clean and efficient in every way..
Nice hotel with friendly staff, easy parking and within easy reach of the city, Nice breakfast and self service so get what you want, rooms were clean and comfy. I would book again next time we are here,
