Just had the best burger I've had in a long time. I'm usually so fussy and I honestly ordered a burger because I thought it was a safe bet. I completely underestimated the quality of the food. It was huge, juicy and tasted like some effort had been put into its creation. Sweet potato fries, crispy, fresh coleslaw and a...

Enjoyed a lovely beef roast dinner, loads of veg, tasty gravy but the Yorkshire was completely burnt- why serve it?The pub was cold! Had to keep coat on throughout meal and so did everyone else. Service was fine

First of all let me say that the room we had was reasonably clean and quite spacious, the views overlooking the park and the sea were lovely from our room on the second floor. Thats about the best I can say really. The rooms are above a pub, for the first few days on a weekday, the noise from down...

had a twin room booked for two people on a business trip, the single bed was broken, the room wasn't cleaned, it's advertised as free wi fi but you can't connect in the rooms, the window doesn't stay open and there was empty beer cans on top of the wardrobe this has to be the worst place I have ever...

The First Sunday of each month is hog roast day, best place to be at the end weekend. The real ales were lovely and the kids menu was up to scratch too ☺ Would recommend this place to friend and family.

I was somewhat put off by the reviews on here, but they couldn't have been more wrong. A lovely little hotel with 12 rooms. Beware though the staircases are very steep (there is a thoughtfully placed chair on each landing). The room was clean, large & airy with views over the common to the sea. The main road outside the...

I stayed at the Jolly sailor with my husband to go to a wedding. I was a bit dubious due to bad reviews on the site however we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel was significantly cheaper than other hotels in the area. As is usually the case, you get what you pay for so don't expect 5 star luxury, but...

We are a party of 8 staying in 3 rooms for 2 nights. Having read the reviews on here we were a little worried but we were pleasantly surprised. We had rooms 2,8 and 10 and all were clean and comfortable with great views over the common to the sea. There was live music the nights we stayed but this...
