I stayed here before and everything was excellent. However, I booked to stay again but when I arrived I was told quite abruptly that I was barred. I had no idea why as I’m never a troublesome customer and always leave my room in a good state. I asked if this could be a mistake as understandably these things happen, but they weren’t having any of it. They wouldn’t tell me the reason which I found strange. I was in a state of shock as I’ve never experienced anything like this before and I felt like a criminal which I am certainly not. They need to learn from this as obviously the person who is meant to be barred, if this is a mistake of name, can still check in which could be a health and safety issue. Still haven’t heard anything back from the hotel or received a refund. However, I stayed at the Premier Inn who were very accommodating and provided an excellent service.…
Excellent location for city centre.parking God if you can get it. All staff were friendly and helpful. Cafe and bar on site was reasonably priced. Considering location. All facilities were clean and tidy. Only comment arrived 2 hours early and was offered early check in for extra £10.00 which i thought was wrong if room was available.
my new wife & i went for a few days on honemoon. Parking is limited but they do tell you & we didnt have any problems. First impressions were, very clean, presentable, close to all the ameneties of the city centre. The check in staff were friendly although i think if a room is ready then its a rip off to charge to check in early, the same to charge if you are parking on site. The room was very clean, enough space for a couple, we had a nice view over the park but other rooms views are not so nice. No draw space for clothes which it could do with, in fact, not much space for clothes for a lengthy stay at all!. The bathroom was clean, adequate. At some times there was a strong smell of cannabis on the 8th floor, staff werent interested! The breakfast was what you would expect in that sort of hotel, quite often between cold & lukewarm. At night the bar is quite expensive & dont expect the advertised bar snacks (Pizza) they quite often arent available and the, very young, possibly student staff dont seem to know how to operate equipment in the bar, what is available in the bar food wise or when it will be available, quite poor training. Sometimes quite a wait for someone to serve you as they have vanished! Some of the staff are quite clueless as to what is available in the area, tourist stuff etc, where it is, how to get there..again poor training, although they are all friendly and polite. The hotel seems to be dog friendly. Cannot comment on the dinner meals as we didnt have any. I would take your own brew kit as it is limited in the rooms. Would we go back?, Yes but not if prices rise, plenty of better places if that happens.…

Perfect place to stay, within walking distance of the attractions. (10-15 minutes walk) Very interesting museums at the historic dockyard and beautiful views from Spinnaker tower. Easy access to pubs and dining.

Reported to manager said he would send someone up it never happened at all went down the following morning same again nothing happened. Went out came back about 3pm still nothing done. They eventually offered to move us to next room which I replied to late now as leaving first thing in morning. Spolit our stay as our first night was a family engagement which then put a dampner on the whole evening.
Clean room, lovely view, bed was comfy left extra pillows if you sleep better with two rather than one. Always a welcoming helpful colleague at the reception 24hrs if you need anything. Perfect location 2 minute walk to city centre shops and 15-20minute walk to gunwarf quay.
