Just came back from a lovely weekend break, firstly the positioning of the hotel is great 4 minutes from the train station and gunwarf quays and 1 minute to the famous Portsmouth dockyard. The staff were great and was willing to help with whatever we needed, they had a baggage store room so we was able to leave our bags there safely until it was time to check in. The room itself was incredibly clean and it was very quite (my room was at the back of the hotel) our rooms were next to each other which made it a bit easier for my family. The breakfast was super and they had plenty of options. As someone who is gluten intolerant I was able to get gluten free bread for toast, overall there was plenty to eat even with an allergy 😊. We had a lovely time and will certainly be coming back!! …

We have stayed here many times since it opened and it's always our first choice when we go to Portsmouth (every few months). The rooms are a reasonable size and are always clean and comfy. The soundproofing is excellent and the blackout curtains keep the daylight out. Staff are always happy to help if you need anything. The Bar & Block underneath is handy for good quality drinks and food. The location is excellent, Historic Dockyard is 1 minute away walk away, Gunwharf Quays (shops, bars, restaurants) is 7 - 10 mins away, The City Centre 10 - 15 mins, train station / bus / Gosport Ferry 5 mins. The Historic dockyard car park is a few minutes walk away and is discounted if you stay - take a discount voucher from the holder next to the front doors and scan it before scanning your parking ticket to apply the discount. It's also secure but check the closing times if you need to go in and out late at night. Co-Op and Subway are also in the same building as the car park so handy if you need them. …

A nice welcome from Mitchell who kindly helped to store my baggage whilst the room was still being prepared (I arrived earlier than I expected). The room was clean and well presented. No noise disturbance what so ever. It had a good shower to help wake me up. Housekeeping team all said good morning when I was heading to check out which makes for a nice start to the day. I received a genuine thanks and goodbye from Mitchell on my way out. I really can't fault anything from my stay.

Thank you so much to Lois & Tom for making my birthday extra special! First class service & customer care, the little touches were gratefully appreciated and such a lovely touch for my trip. Excellent location within walking distance of station and historic dockyard. The adjoining restaurant is great. Room lovely and quiet, very clean with comfy bed. The staff were friendly, knowledge and very helpful. Thank you we had all we needed.

We stayed here with our family and friends for our wedding. We were treated like VIPs and made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We can’t thank the team enough for their hard work and kindness.

The bed was really comfortable and the staff especially Tom the manger and all his team made my dad feel very welcome even though he is disabled rooms are very big in the accessible room clean and home from home Tom and his team treat my father like a lord when it was his birthday he was 75 that was the reason I took him on holiday he always wanted to go back to Portsmouth the staff was really helpful Raquel the manager Tom and every other member of staff would recommend anybody stay there will be going back again

I enjoyed my stay. It was pleasurable and was met by warm and helpful staff. Nothing was too much and the bed was to die for.One of the most comfortable sleep at a hotel I have ever had. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The only thing is that you have to pay for parking across the street, but only a minor inconvenience and the room rate more than makes up for it
