Stayed for 4 nights. Parties hosted at the hotel on 3 of those nights kept me awake all week. Terrible. Otherwise, the hotel is fine, room was nice and breakfast is good. I won’t be returning though. Shame
We stayed at the Village Hotel for a birthday night away and found it to be exactly what we wanted ! Modern, clean and inviting. Our room was immaculate.. We were also able to use the gym and helped by the manager Alex to join a class and use the facilities. Friendly and welcoming. Thank you to all the staff.
I stayed at The Village Hotel, Portsmouth recently, and was delighted with the cleanliness of the hotel and the comfortable room. The staff were all very friendly, especially Alex, who helped me access the gym and pool.
Love the gym here! Really friendly staff in the gym and throughout the whole hotel, especially Charlotte on reception who always says hello and asks how I am. Great atmosphere, cannot fault the place.
I tried to call ahead to check my booking was good. Phone rang out. No answer. No number for reception. Tried live chat - robot that just asked me to repeat everything then told me to have another go in office hours. If you need any help other than during the business day this isn't the place for you.
Love this place, staff are amazing, rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I stayed in a club room and would recommend that type of room. Breakfast is great with plenty of choice. Pool and Gym are excellent and there are plenty of car parking spaces. Ideally located near transport links. Nothing not to like about this hotel and I will return.
We took my wages father for a Father’s Day weekend away. Location of Portsmouth Village Hotel is convenient for visiting the local area as it’s so close to the A27 & the M27. We travelled to the hotel on Friday 17 June 22 and left on Sunday 19 June 22.
Super quick check in, nice room (loved the trick glass partition), all staff really friendly but especially the guy with the silver rimmed glasses in the restaurant who helped my wife with the gluten free options. Very comfy bed and nice breakfast. Used the gym which is one of the best we've seen in a hotel. Would stay again..
This is the second time off staying at a Village Hotel, firstly impressions a very clean and funky hotel, if you like gimmicks the this will suit, if you want peace ask for a quieter room maybe o. The 3rd to 5th floor. We didn't use the bar or Starbucks as thought a bit pricey. There is a Macdonald's and Witherspoon close to the hotel in Cosham The staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were funky and clean, though for me didn't like the proximity of the bathroom to the bed, and the privacy glass on the bathrooms from clear to opaque and the control outside the bathroom itself, if it floats your boat then great, there wasn't enough plug sockets, though 2 USB charging points. A Dyson fan and Alexa we just unplugged Alexa. The beds were comfy had a good night's sleep both evening. The doors to the rooms are fire doors so are fairly heavy to open. The room had ac so this was really good on the extra hot days we had. I did feel the hotel was not that secure at the front desk as it wasn't always manned and there was access to to lifts and all floors.... The park and ride is really close less than 5 mins in the car and at £4 for a car and running every 15mins is a really good service into Portsmouth hard exchange.…
As ever, pretty much get the same standard in the whole chain so you know what to expect. Its a good concept and covers everything you need in a compact funky room. I thought the grill and bar prices had gone up a lot since last time we went,
