We came for a couple of nights and chose here as the location was perfect. The room was lovely. Bathroom was small but adequate for what we needed. There was some work going on upstairs on refurbish the rooms so the manager gave us complimentary breakfast which we thought was really kind, and it was a delicious meal! Nice to have off street parking too. Definitely a place we would return to.
We had tickets to the Bastille concert at the Pyramids Centre which is one of the reasons we chose the hotel as it was within walking distance of this which was helpful. The room was lovely, bed was comfy, however we had chosen the room with an in-room bath. My partner walked over to the bath area to look out the window and slipped on the tile flooring (luckily no serious injuiries but I think this is a hazard that should be pointed out as he did hurt himself!). Don't wear socks on the tiles!! Breakfast in the morning was lovely. Overall a lovely stay (minus the slight injury!)
Enjoyed a 3 night break to celebrate hubby’s 60th birthday for a surprise get together with family. Fantastic location, comfy rooms, great breakfast and the staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again 😀
The two of us, and our little dog had a lovely stay at this hotel (which is part of a chain). When we arrived we should have been staying in a sister hotel however we asked whether they had any larger rooms available as we had our dog. They did and moved us to the Stattons which was no bother for the staff. Our room was still quite small, but it had a bigger bed which we appreciated. Bedroom and en-suite was clean and tidy, just maybe a touch dark. Corridors were also quite narrow. There was a bar at the hotel and you could have had breakfast there also, but we didn’t as we had our dog. Would stay here again.
The hotel is in a great location for southsea seafront and shops and restaurants. Our room was clean and comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast. We took our dog and there was no extra charge for her stay. Car park was easily accessed.
This hotel is in a lovely location a few minutes away from several points of interest in Portsmouth. Rooms are spacious and cosy and very clean. Staff are excellent and the breakfast superb. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again.
Stations staff were extremely helpful and courteous. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Free parking in Southsea is a bonus - just a few minutes walk to the seafront. Excellent breakfast with a bigger choice than some large hotels for cooked food. Will definitely stay again
Stayed here for one night in November to celebrate a birthday. The hotel is in a great location, 5mins walk from the seafront and 10mins walk to the centre of Southsea. Good parking, and a lovely welcome on arrival. The room itself was lovely, we were up the stairs on the first floor. Decor is lovely, bed very comfy, and nice shower. The room was very hot, but the heating was easily turned off in the room. Windows also opened which was nice for fresh air. Breakfast was very tasty, a full cooked English as well as cereal, toast, and yoghurts. Service was also very good, and staff were very friendly. A highly recommended hotel in Southsea!
Lovely room with everything you would need including a decent modern TV. We have stayed in so many places with small, dates TV. Staff were all friendly and charming and work so hard. Breakfast was really good with a god choice on the menu and all beautifully cooked. It has a car park which for us is a must as we travel a lot and like to be assured we can park. Only frustrating down for us was that as our room was at the top, the broadband speed is 40x slower than in the breakfast room. I did mention this on checkout. Otherwise perfect place to stay within a 30 minute walk to Portsmouth town centre and the HMS Victory.
This was a gem of a find that exceeded my expectations. A business trip to Portsmouth invariably results in a couple of soul less nights in a major chain with very mediocre food, my two nights stay at Stattons was a welcome change. My rooms were spotlessly clean, well appointed, good wifi and local off-street reasonably secure parking. Staff were professional, polite and efficient. Breakfast was cooked to ordered the price was exceptional for the comfort and service. I was recommended to the local gastro pub The Florence Arms and was not disappointed. A backstreet gem and highly recommended.
