I stayed at the imperial for one night - not a great nights stay in regards to sleeping - there was a constant beeping throughout the night which didn't stop until around 6am. You can't fault the location and the staffs hospitality, they were great. I felt the hotel needs a good clean in all public areas and also very...

Dear MV_240687, Sorry to hear that you didn't sleep well during your stay with us. We are pleased to know that you were happy with our service and the hotel location. The hotel public areas are cleaned on a day to day basis but unfortunately due to our central location, people drop all sorts of things on the pavement all...

The Imperial is a once-grand hotel which although now slightly faded is nonetheless a very pleasant place to stay. We found staff to be very helpful and friendly and super-clean bedroom and bathroom. It is true that there is a little noise from the car park/ station area but that is only to be expected of a hotel in the...

Went in for an early birthday snifter at 10:45. I asked what time alcohol could be served and was told "not till twelve". As I walked out I passed by a gent drinking a bottle of cider. I went by yesterday and a couple were drinking Guinness outside at 11.

Dear Flyboy192, We are sorry to hear that you couldn't have an early birthday snifter last weekend. We are only allowed to serve alcohol on weekends after midday. This is regulated by the local authorities. Residents in our premises are allowed to have alcohol at any time. I hope this explains your confusion.

On the plus side, I found all the staff I came into contact with to be helpful and polite. The room was good. Good sized comfortable bed, flat screen TV, generous bathroom, clean and spacious. The breakfast was superb. I stay in many hotels like this all around the country and have many breakfasts to compare and this is right...

The Imperial is a strange hotel in that it is quite charming but could do with an update in places....but I am sure that would then put up the price. It is very accessible for work or leisure, couples, families or solo. It's position - right opposite the station is brilliant for train users. It is very clean and smells...

I stayed at The Imperial because I had to attend a funeral. They let me check in very early at no extra cost. They let some of my relatives have a rest in a room free of charge. It was a very sad day for my family and the management and staff were very helpful. I hope I can visit...

The hotel it's self is very nice and we did have a light bite and drink in arrival. We had booked into this hotel as we were attending a wedding not too far from it.The hotel has no staff which stay on the premises over night. So we're kept awake by drunks banging on doors and people arguing food all...

I stayed in this hotel after finding a great 2 days stay offer in the ukescapes website. Amazing check in with a welcome free drink on arrival. I had never experienced this special treatment before. Check in was very personalised and staff was very professional. Breakfast was delicious and also included in the rate. Nothing to complain. Rooms smell very...

We were attending a gig at the nearby Subscriptions Rooms and wanted to stay the night. A quick check online showed us this hotel which looked perfect for our needs. We knew that it wasn't a 5 star hotel but it is much better than some reviews here. The building itself is lovely and clearly has history. The staff were...

We were due to see the launch of our friends' band' (Watch out for budding local stars Ardyn) EP record at the Lansdown Rooms on Friday night. The room was small but comfortable with a good shower.
