We stayed at Viner House for a family wedding - five adults and a 23 month old toddler so we practically took over the whole house! We all had lovely rooms, comfortable beds and a travel cot was provided for the baby. Viner House itself is amazing - extremely old in parts (17th century) with a wonderful inglenook fireplace and... Booked 2 nights. When I arrived the lady told me she would not be in the hotel the next morning, if I could make my own breakfast? No problem for me. What I didn't know was that she left just after my arrivel for a couple days, she was also not available when I tried to call her. The husband... More

Oh dear I am so sorry this guest was unhappy. We had an unexpected duty for Saturday and when I asked if she would like me to call in staff her response was 'No I would rather cook for myself at a convenient time to me'....... Please note we are a BnB not a hotel. More

Stayed here last night. Fergus and Kate were great hosts and made me feel very welcome. My room was clean and homely, I was given a key to come and go. Breakfast was cooked for me which was amazing and a much needed coffee. Lovely family who have taken pride in this venue whilst they look after it.

We were made to feel very welcome the minute we walked through the door. Little things like an offered pot of fresh coffee and a torch when we left after dark meant we felt cared for, which was very relaxing. Thank you!

We arrived after dark in the pouring rain to a warm welcome. This is a very central location with an easy walk to the main shopping streets and train station. The room was clean, warm and comfortable with ensuite facilities. The new management explained all the facilities and were on hand to answer any queries. There were facilities for making... More

A comfortable room in a nice house it a good area of Stroud. It is a uphill walk from the centre of Stroud including the station, but only took about 10 mins, I did nearly walk past as the sign in the window is very small. There was space to work in the room too which was useful and the... More

I had stayed here once before and had found it a strange experience. I was left a message saying that they would not be there when I arrived (at around 5pm) so I should let myself in. Someone was actually there though. I had a lot of bags and tripped on the stairs trying to carrying them. I am strong... More

It was a real pleasure staying in this beautiful period house. We were made very welcome and had everything we needed. The room was a great size for three of us, up a lovely spiral staircase and with exposed beams in the ceiling. The Wi-fi worked fine in the room which kept our teenage daughter happy. We have family to... More
