We were too early for an evening meal but decided that we would rather sit in the bar on a comfy sofa for awhile with a beer than try anywhere else. The beer was excellent and the mid-week special of fish and chips were worth the wait. The bar has a good selection of gins as well as the real...

The large car park was full when I arrived, so double parked after a long journey, but space then became available. The room was fine and dog friendly, but above the bar, which I knew. Music on Friday night ended at 12.45am and live music on Saturday at midnight, which I was not told about on booking and the room...

If you can get in the restaurant part go, the pub is still that really, an old school bar with music n tv's, you can eat in the bar area too. Car park quite small, fills quickly when busy. Restaurant part really nice but you need to book. Food was great, my daughter had a 'special of the day' which...

Visit family and seem to always go here. Always packed out and food very good. Good balance of staple foods. Always a big plate of food. Dare not have the mixed grill because I would probably explode. Good service and reasonably priced. Always come back. Beer good.

We stayed here for 1 night recently, whilst visiting a relative in the area. We stayed in the room called Ebley. We chose this room because it is one that is not above the bar but don't let that description fool you into thinking it will be quiet, because it is not. You can still hear the noise from the...

Has such an amazing experience here. Food was delicious, tasty and hot. This was coupled with excellent service. Staff took time to ensure everything was just how it should be. Would definitely recommend the pork dijonnaise!

The special price early evening menu provides plenty of choice at the amazing price of £6.50. Our group chose pork chops in a tasty mushroom cream sauce, a light veggie filled omelette and perfect, just perfect fish and chips. Staff are pleasant and helpful and food doesn't take too long to arrive. The restaurant was full which demonstrates the excellent...

Even thought it was the end of a busy bank holiday weekend (fringe Festival) and we were a party of 7 adults & 8 children, the food and service was faultless, we had booked a table in the restaurant but due to the sun we moved outside with out any problems, a great end to brilliant birthday

Pub is lovely food is lovely but waitress service is terrible. We ordered gammon and chips and I asked for my garish to be only tomato and onion, when it arrived it came with greens so I sent it back only for it to be returned with tomato and onion put on the top of greens, I returned it again and...
