We visited after a long day driving around the Cotswolds. We did pre book which was a good shout as it was full by the time we left. The open fire and traditional decor was really welcoming and cosy. We ordered the antipasti to start (huge) followed by burgers which were superb, food piping hot and tasty. Would definitely visit...

Recently stayed here for 2 nights as we were down from Scotland for a wedding nearby. Charming hotel with lovely, friendly staff. Breakfast was very good, with a full choice of cereals, pastries and cooked breakfasts. Due to arriving late on the Friday and having a wedding Saturday we never drank in the pub but all the reports were that...

This place is a great location and a right in the middle of Stow with parking out the back, the staff are really good and very friendly and the cooked breakfast was fantastic and the coffee decent for a hotel. Re the room itself, it was very cosy which I liked, yes it was a bit run down but that...

Family get - together on Sunday for lunch. Well priced at £13 for a weekend roast dinner. Pleasant atmosphere and reasonably prompt service. Slight problem as no gluten free gravy available. Puddings lovely, though a little pricey (same quantity for children's portion as an adult's). Worth a visit. Car park at back fills quickly.

We stayed at the White Hart in Stow for a weekend. Our room (Buck) was cosy and comfortable although they could really do with paying a bit of attention to the upkeep as there were some holes in the walls and marks on the paintwork. Only minor details but not really what you expect when you pay £100 a night....

We are staying for the weekend at the hotel next door and had dinner tonight in the White Hart. They do not really cater for young families as they don't take orders before 6.30pm but they were good enough to allow us to order early. Service was personal and fine. I had the 8ounce steak which was a little blue...

A very old hotel with an annex called the Stag Lodge next door. There is free private car parking behind the hotel, the reception staff will tell you how to get there. We had asked for a room on a lower level because of my wife's mobility problems, and we ended up in room 4 of the Stag, a large...

This is an old building in the centre of Stow and so one can understand why the bathrooms/shower rooms are crammed in and tiny. One cannot blame the hotel for the noise in the square or from the bar at night. But one can blame the hotel management for shabby rooms. I don't like being negative about any place where...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you are intending to stay overnight, there are five rooms to choose from, ranging from the stunning “Stag”, with a free standing bath in the bedroom, to the snug “Fallow”.
