We stopped off here for a bite to eat and to warm the cockles after a chilly wind swept meander around beautiful Stow......we found a cosy little corner and thoroughly enjoyed some fab food.....highly recommend the braised ox cheek and the fish n chips.....all washed down with a rather yummy Rioja! Cheery friendly service too.....

We were really excited to eat here after reading the other reviews. The decor of the dining room is beautiful and very cosy. The staff are pleasant and well accommodating however the food was rather disappointing. I ordered the soufflé to start, it was nice and my partner ordered the mushroom and artichoke and he described the mushrooms to taste...

So they say-it's the oldest inn in the country. Quite a claim to fame. Beautiful. Lots of ups & downs-a bit like Stow...& at this time of year we've got wood burning stoves so the smell of the place is glorious. Great local beer & the most heavenly hand lotion in the toilets ladies!

Lovely restored venue. Separate dining and pub/dinning areas. Really beautiful venue. Very atmospheric. Staff young, enthusiastic and friendly. Beer and tea served were excellent. Did not eat on this occasion. Dog friendly. Wood burning stoves so nice in winter. Would definitely visit again.

We live in Stow and love this pub - it's dog friendly so we can come with our little dog and the food is consistently excellent. The pub itself is beautiful and such a lovely place to go for a meal Highly recommended

Maybe my review will get the managers attention - this just sums up my email of how terrible the service has been at The Porch House. My partner and I visited for our babymoon which we wanted to be a relaxing break before our baby girl comes in May. We was showed to room 8 when we arrived which was...

This was our second stay and we asked for room 8 both times, which is lovely. The food was excellent and the staff most helpful. We had dinner both nights. The only downside was that I left an iPhone charger behind. It took two phone calls and two emails to get it returned to me.

We were staying in Stow with some family and picked this restaurant/bar on the basis that it looked really good from the outside. We'd booked online and because we had to get back home we'd decided to eat early so we chose the 1730 slot. When we arrived we waited for about 10 minutes to see if we could find...
