The Falcon is a great spot to immerse yourself for a few days in the Cotswolds. The food is really good, the beer and gin selection more than adequate, and the staff unfailingly helpful and caring. The inn itself is in a very old building - so it's not surprising to find the floors uneven - and that's what gives...

Good cooking at the "Falcon Inn" restaurant. No pretensions either - one is served by friendly young staff in dining areas off the bar. Sunday presents best value; a set price two/three course menu persists into the evening. A la carte weekday prices are steeper. Seafood linguine dishes impressed, on two occasions, plus an old-fashioned serving of mackerel pate, spread...

We stopped for one night whilst walking the Cotswolds Way. The rooms were good sized and everything you needed was there. The food was very enjoyable and very much needed after the exertions the previous day. All in all a great place to stop

We stayed one night en route to Cornwall and were delighted with our choice. The second-floor room was spacious, comfortable and characterful, with fantastic views over Painswick's beautiful church and the countryside beyond. The bedding was of very good quality - feather pillows and duvet... lovely and The White Company toiletries were very much appreciated. Some might find the traffic...

The food was great. More importantly the landlord and staff were very accommodating about the arrival, parking and driving into the restaurant with a motor scooter user. Could not have been more helpful - so thank you.. We all had a great evening.

Our (dog friendly) room was in a small annexe called The Nest, at the back of the hotel. Most of the room was taken up with the largest bed I have ever seen. It was very comfortable but if it had been smaller, there would have been more space in the room. The room was tastefully decorated in the usual...

We have just returned from a short break to the picturesque village of Painswick in The Cotswolds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 'The Falcon' and even the weather smiled favourably on us during our visit. The staff were extremely helpful from our initial phone call to book the room and we were reluctant to depart at the end of...

We stayed here for one night whilst attending a party in the village. The staff all seemed really friendly & helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with stylish decor . I checked in at 3pm and the heating was already on so it was lovely and warm on a cold day. Breakfast...

We ate here two nights in a row on a break in Painswick. The first night, a Monday, the staff were pleasant and friendly and the food was fantastic. We visited again on The tuesday evening and it was a totally different story, staff were uninterested and the food was average at best. A shame considering how nice it was...
