We've just come home from a few days away in Painswick, we stayed in this little place, what a lovely guest house, each room has its own style ours was Country Rose. The bathroom although small, had everything you'd need and the shower was wonderful, very uncomplicated even I could use it without calling my husband first.lol. The staff were...

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely guest house. It is very well looked after, with great people doing that great job. The room we had, New England was very nice and well maintained. The location was beautiful, with such beautiful views. This is a place that we would love to visit again.

Having stayed in so many 'plastic hotels' and samey chains, with their corporate decor and predictable service, the Cardynham House was a real breath of fresh air. Wonderful welcome, the quirkiest hotel we've ever stayed in, and just wonderful. It felt as though we were staying at a friend's house ... totally relaxed, friendly and lovely. The staff - who...

We arrived last Friday for two nights and found the staff very friendly and offering a warm welcome. We booked a table for two in the bistro that evening. We both had three courses from an excellent selection of set menu and specials which included some interesting choices like wildboar and a game trio. The food was exceptional with very...

We stayed at the Cardynham last weekend for 2 nights. My partner had booked the pool room as a surprise for my 40th birthday. We were not disappointed. As soon as we arrived our bags were wrestled out of our hands as we were shown to our room and given instructions on using the pool. The room was lovely, warm,...

Nice place, good welcome perfect to get away from it all to relax. Rooms all have character, didn't, eat in the restaurant but looked good. Breakfasts nice, well cooked and tasted fine. I would recommend this hotel.

Cardynham House is advertised as a 15th century house which is what makes it so unique & a wonderful place to stay. If you want a porter at reception to carry your bags, champagne drinks on arrival, monsoon showers in the bathroom, butler service to provide bed tea in the mornings & turn on the room heaters, high tea in the...

I am sorry that this guest felt the need to post this review. I spoke to them on departure and they made no mention that they were not satisfied with their stay in any way. We do source our ingredients locally wherever possible but we are in a rural location - our croissants are supplied part baked and frozen but...

Just spend one night at this B & B with my husband and sister and brother-in-law. We stayed in the Dovecote room and they were in the Old Tuscany. Both rooms were lovely, our was particularly large as it was a family room. Lovely comfortable beds - however the bathroom was very cramped and quite cold. Car parking quite difficult...

On the whole disappointing. We can't fault the service and friendliness of the staff at breakfast but I question why, in November, the fire was not lit in the lounge, even though ready laid. The lack of warmth made it an uninviting area to sit in on return from a long walk or a day out. Our room was equally...

I am sorry that the fire was not lit. We are awaiting the sweep to clear the chimney though all the guests needed to do was to mention to my staff about the fire and it would have been lit. The good news is that the sweep is due this week. The heating also was an error caused by our...
