We were very impressed with the reception we got on arriving st the hotel staff were very nice. Got to our room and it was spotless and bed very comfy one down fall room was very cold so turned on heating when we got back from evening meal in the hotel which to my opinion was a bit over priced... It's been a while since I was at The Queen's Hotel for drinks but nevertheless very memorable. This was a pre dinner visit and the service was prompt and courteous. The décor was subtle and the ambience calm and tranquil.

Firstly the staff are very welcoming and efficient. But that is the only positive I can find after my stay at the Queens. First room we were directed too was very noisy overlooking the road. We were moved but to a much smaller room. No offer of any money off/ free breakfast or something to compensate for the rather bijou... More

Awfully treated by the staff here. Thought it was supposed to be a good hotel, turns out I was mistaken. The manager refused to give us his name, claimed there was no rooms available mid November which I didn't believe, then shouted at us when we asked for a room. 1/10 do not stay here.

We had a short two night stay in this beautiful historic hotel! The location is ideal for walking to shops and restaurants. Come to step back in time! The rooms bathrooms are beautifully upgraded to current modern standards and the rooms are beautifully decorated!

The hotel is beautifully located and the staff were very helpful even after I had checked out and needed travel help on the same day because of train connexion problems. The modern touches to the décor would be better removed and the place should be restored to an historical style. This is a hotel of very high ceilings, creaky floorboards,... More

I've stayed here many times and the restoration since my last visit is brilliant. Everywhere is pristine: bar; restaurant; lounge and, perhaps most of all, guest rooms. Our room was lovely with every imaginable luxury: with decor to match. This is no cheap hotel but you get what you pay for and you get a lot for your money here.

This hotel is opulent on the exterior and also on parts of the interior, particularly the staircase. However, the reception area is not very inspiring. Breakfast cost £17.50 pp and was awful. The fried eggs were cold and the tomatoes were really hard, like they had been baked in the oven for too long and all the moisture had evaporated.... More

This is the second time we have stayed here and each experience has been fantastic. The suites are really well done but it is the courteous and attentive staff that makes the difference. Location wise it is also an easy walk to the high street. We have a child at college in Cheltenham so the Queens will likely see us... More

Walking around Cheltenham, I said to my wife lets go to The Queen Hotel for a coffee. We walked in and it looked very nice. Greeting from receptionist was polite. But was very busy in computer, of which I understand, but they need to get their heads up more and understand why people are walking through the door. We are... More
