The hotel is old and could certainly do with some renovation and/or decoration.. it smells somewhat musty in the public areas but our room itself was OK. Very hot though but we opened the windows so it was ok. Could hear the sea all night, which was lovely. Good view of the beach front too. The receptionist was great though,...

This hotel is ideally located for accessing the beach, the shops, the pier etc but it really does need to have some money spent on it. The decor is tired, especially in the bathroom - the bed was like a trampoline. Some people might like a soft bed but this was ridiculous.

The hotel is situated right on the sea front and the single room I had overlooked the beach - beautiful. Tea and coffee making facilities, TV and hair drier all in the room. Bedding and towels clean. However, the wall at the bottom of the bed was very damp with the plaster bubbling off and the bathroom looked tired and...

We stayed in a double and single for one night in August on the 3rd floor which looked out to sea. Whilst the hotel is a bit shabby its perfectly acceptable for budget hotel. Clean and functional. The staff are great! Welcoming, professional and couldn't do enough for you. Outstanding customer service. We will definitely use the Chatsworth again. My...

We have stayed at this hotel for 5 years running now. So despite the negative comments of other guests it cannot be that bad. We come every year for a special event weekend and are always made welcome by the hard working staff. The rooms are clean and while basic are perfectly satisfactory for a short stay. I would advise...

Hotel is on a par with what you'd expect for a seaside hotel. Dated, but fairly clean and tidy. Staff were helpful. There's no internet in the rooms and no onsite parking. You can park in a council car park about a two minute walk away for £2 between 16:00 - 11:00 the next day. Outside of those hours you...

My room was in need of a coat of paint and a new bathroom. The tiles in bathroom were mismatched with the bath being painted . The taps were rusty and need to be replaced . Bath and shower uninviting. Room walls very stained and noise from other guests can be heard. The positive was the bedding and towels were...
