My partner celebrated his birthday at this wonderful venue and gorgeous hotel. All our friends booked a room for the night and joined us in the piano lounge and bar for a celebration drink. The rooms were all beautifully appointed and everyone was relaxed and happy. The bar was kept open for us and I do have to mention, Galina,...

Stayed here as my grandchild was competing in a gym competition and it was a very early start . We found the hotel very dated and smelt very musky and old. The room we stayed I was very very dated with dark old furniture.

We had a lovely weekend in Hastings staying in the Royal Victoria. The hotel was full of character and although does need a lick of paint and the rooms could do with a little TLC, I must say the food and the staff were excellent. The afternoon tea for 2 would have fed 4!!

Stayed two nights Friday and Saturday, mid March 2017 with my partner and 92 year old Dad. Staff, brilliant and all we came across made you feel very welcome. Food in the Piano Bar on both nights was very good and value for money (in a hotel). Breakfast was not the best BW brekkie we have experienced (from Bassenthwaite to...

Once entering I forgot for a moment I had driven down and instead thought I had come down in the TARDIS. Dark wood everywhere and an overwhelming sense that this was 1988 only heightened by the photo of the bride on the wall sporting a bubble perm advertising this as a wedding venue. The outside of the hotel was being...

it is definitely a quirky hotel a bit outdated and a bit wonky too! The room we were staying in had wonky floorboards and it felt like the whole building was leaning on one side! by the end of our stay we were making jokes about it! By I think all these features added some charm! The staff was very friendly!...

Came back for a three daybreak with our dogs again. Really lucky with the weather and had a great time away from the stress and pollution of London. Our room initially had scaffolding outside of the windows and they were sealed shut for safety purposes, which was understandable, but a bit of a nightmare as it was a warm day....

I have stayed in this hotel several times over the last few years and gave a soft spot for the old lady. It has a prime location on the sea front. I didn't have a sea view but one of the old meeting hall/Masonic lodge at the rear. My room was large, comfortable and clean if a little dated. I...

We stayed here using an online voucher from a travel site, which gave us a night's stay for two, with breakfast and afternoon tea, all for £69!! Given that a stay in the local Travelodge/Premier Inn outside of town were going to be about £10 less, we figured this made great sense economically. What a beautiful, grand building this is....
