When visiting Brighton for a wedding we were overwhelmed with the range of places to stay but picking from the top ten B+B we chose Grey's Hotel. We stayed in Room 4 with it's fabulous 4 poster bed and grey / brown decor. The plush grey carpet underfoot was a treat and the room was spacious with a mirrored wardrobe...

Excellent welcome from the staff when we arrived on a sunny saturday afternoon; friendly but not overbearing with help bringing in our luggage. The design and decor in the Grey's Hotel was beautiful - pristinely clean and bright. Room was good with a comfy double bed and good en-suite bathroom with a nice powerful hot shower. Would recommend whole-heartedly.

A group of friends and I stayed here recently for two nights. Everything about it was perfect from the welcome when we arrived to the checking out. Rooms were comfortable and clean with everything you could want. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order - even when we requested a few things 'off menu' nothing was too much trouble. The location...

My partner and I have just returned from two nights at Grey's Hotel, which was a really lovely experience, Right from the beginning, when we were greeted warmly at the door, to the soft grey carpet underfoot, to the beautifully appointed room, everything was a delight. The colour scheme (grey with accents of red) was perfect - nothing fussy or...

We stayed a couple of nights in July 2011. From the moment we walked in, we were really impressed with the hotel. Terry greeted us very warmly, and we instantly felt very much at home. We were given great advice about parking, places to eat and visit etc which proved invaluable for our short stay in Brighton. The location was...

Picked this using Trip advisor - excellent choice. Quiet but not too far away from the centre, and just a minutes walk from the sea front. Very clean, and well appointed, our room was more like a suite. Excellent breakfast.. and they passed the sausage test (I'm very fussy about my sausages !) These were free range by the way.

Positives: really good breakfast, friendly hosts, location, beautiful decor, cleanliness Negatives: very bright (blinds looked beautiful but as soon as the sun came up it was impossible to sleep thru), noisy (appreciate Brighton just IS noisy but really needs double glazing), more powerful shower would have been appreciated too.

Right from the moment we arrived the staff were very warm, friendly and welcoming. The room was lovely, the breakfast delicious, ample and with lots of choice and the information and suggestions from the hotel manager about local bars and eateries was top notch.
