Chosen as it is in the sea of our informal meeting and it was very pleasant. Reasonably cheap and the interior ok but with most hotels these days little imagination used. Staff very nice. Limited parking

We spent a good time in The Brighton Hotel! First of all customer service is on a great level. Especially Daniel was amazing, he is very kind and professional, he definitely went an extra mile for us and made us feel welcomed. The room was clean and nice. It has lovely view on the seaside from both of the windows!...

Went to our family room which was down in the basement so very dingy. The ensuite was shocking, the window was filthy and there was a huge stain on the carpet next to the bed. Criminal to charge £220 for this room. When we went back to reception the first response was they could only reimburse us £15! We ended...

Have stayed in the Grand and Hotel Una previously. Booked a double room and found my room cramped, tired and the floor sloped. Not good. Not impressed. Wouldn't stay again. Staff seemed ok breakfast was a bit of a fail. Poached haddock shouldn't be tough as old boots. Oh dear never mind. One customer who won't be returning. Laters.

Great hotel in a fantastic location on the sea front of Brighton. Very clean hotel, very polite staff and very well presented throughout. We stayed in room 123 which was a great size. It had a terrible view but we didn't spend much daylight in the room. The bathroom was ridiculously small but fine for a few days use. Breakfast...

Every time I come to Brighton I stay at The Brighton Hotel, it's always a pleasure to stay here. I had a lovely room with comfy bed, the only negative I would say was to provide guests with more milk in their room 1 a day is not enough. All food was good, always lovely friendly staff, who will go...

I want to start on a positive- the staff are lovely and tried hard to appease me when I raised my problems. Unfortunately, I don't have anything else good to say. After paying £150 for one night in a room which could have been mistaken for a mouldy sauna, I was feeling very disappointed. room 324 was ridiculously hot (yes...

Chris P, Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We do have quite a few steps throughout the building which, as parts of the building date back some 200 years, can be expected. Had we have been aware that you were having problems we could have looked into the possibility of moving you to a room that...

We recently stayed at the Brighton Hotel for one night after booking on booking.com. The hotel welcomed us at reception and we actually checked in earlier than the stated time. Our room was small and clean. It is true what the reviews say! The hotel is so hot!!! Even walking through the corridors you feel the heat of the building....

Thank you Chloe for your review. I am glad you found us good value and would like to re-iterate your point about looking out for the cheapest options when booking - midweek stays are generally lower priced than weekends and you still get to experience what Brighton has to offer. I am sorry to hear you found the building to...

Thank you noon1258 for your review. I am very happy to see that you found us well sited and good value for money. We are close enough to the main attractions in the city and still just far enough away from the nightlife which can be noisy for some. We hope to see you again in the future. Kind Regards,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Brighton Hotel The Grade II listed Brighton Hotel is one of the most charming hotels in Brighton where you are guaranteed a warm and personal welcome. It is located on the seafront directly opposite the famous Brighton Bandstand and very close to the West Pier and to the site of the proposed i360 attraction. We are just a short walk to Brighton's main shopping areas, the famous Lanes with its cobbled passage ways and its myriad of little shops and boutiques, many of which are unique to Brighton. The Brighton Conference Centre is a five minute stroll away and we are literally a stone's throw from the beach. The Brighton Hotel is a privately owned independent hotel that is large enough to have all the faculties you would expect but small enough to make you feel important to us and special. The hotels elegant lounge, bar and restaurant have enviable sea views, a great place to relax and watch the world go by. The hotel has 55 well-appointed rooms, and while the hotel is right on the famous Brighton seafront it is just far enough out of the main centre's noisy bars and clubs to be significantly quieter than many other seafront Brighton hotels. High speed wireless internet access is available free of charge in all our rooms and public areas. As a 3 Star accredited hotel we offer Dinner in The Salisbury Restaurant available 7 days a week from 6.30pm till 9.30pm and our Lite Bite Bar Menu is available 7 days a week 24hrs a day. Arrival and Departure Time: Our check in time starts from 3 pm and our check out time is at 11 am. For an early check in or late check-out we charge £10 an hour. For peace of mind, our reception is manned 24 hrs. Cocktail Menu: Available Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm till 10pm. Room Service: Room Service is now available for Breakfast continental & Full English and we also offer a breakfast to go from 4am. We have limited parking in front of the hotel based on a first come, first serve policy. The guests can only book these spaces on arrival at reception. These spaces are sold for £18 per night. Therefore, if we run out of spaces, our guests can park in Regency Square Car Park which is just 3 minutes walking distance from us. Day rate for conference delegates is £9.00 And must be vacated by 17:00. Please note that Vans are not allowed to park in our car park due to size restrictions. Luxury Car Service For a little taste of luxury we can organise a private hire executive car to bring you to the hotel from your port of entry. The driver will meet you in arrivals of the appropriate terminal and deliver you straight to the hotel entrance. Prices start from around £140 from Heathrow Airport, £80 from Gatwick Airport and around £170 from St Pancras. To enquire about this service please contact the hotel directly with your arrival details (airport and terminal, arrival time and flight number or for Eurostar arrival time and your departure city along with your train number). Please note that transfers are not guaranteed until we confirm back to you and payment will be made direct to your driver and not to the hotel. ... more   less
