This place is not as bad as some of the recent reviews mentioned. As one of the staff said, it's more like a big share house than a hostel because most of the people are long stayers. All these people are easy going and friendly people who on most days, party a fair bit and sleep during the day. Recommend...

I'm not sure if it's even a hostel, most people there actually live there! Sheets were filthy and stained, toilets and shower were very small and smelled horrible. I had to share the tiniest room ever with 9 other girls that all looked miserable and a few were possibly prostitutes. Avoid like the plague!

I I've stayed in a lot of hostels over the years, but this one was definitely the loudest one I have stayed in as the other guests were not at all considerate towards others and we're always staying up late and being loud. Location wise this hostel is in a good location not far from some shops and a stones...

If you're in for the hotel experience - don't go to a hostel! If you want somewhere to sleep and cook and just hang out - come to Baggies! Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious - just a down to earth normal hostel. The people were really friendly, and the staff amazingly accommodating. The rooms were clean, the facilities wellgroomed and the...

More than just an hostel, Baggies has been my home for 4 months. The kitchen and showers are cleaned everyday by the staff. You've got 2 main areas to share good momentz with people + a smoking area ane also fridges and boxes to store your food. Another good point is the amazing view you have on the seafront when...

A very joly and welcoming atmosphere with lovely people, the 10 people dorm is comfortable and the showers are decent. The only minus is the pricing, but I would recommend it to any young person and would definitely come back !

Thanks for your lovely review! We do our best to create a friendly 'family' atmosphere so I'm really pleased you felt at home! Hostels can be such fun places! I believe that you stayed for the big music festival in Brighton.. During peak times such as this, the pricing of all accommodation in Brighton increases, so relatively speaking, we were...

I lived 6 months in Baggies during my trip in Brighton and it was crazy. I met my friends in Baggies and the staff is always there for you if you have a problem, a question or whatever you want, they're here for you, with the smile. I would like to say thank you to the Baggies's manager who work...

We arrived at Baggies Backpackers for a local 3-Day Conference being held at the nearby Brighton Centre. Put simply, on the first morning of the conference we were begging the information desk for alternative accommodation. I'd like to preface this with 'We were not expecting luxury, we knew it was a cheap hostel.' That being said, this place was about...

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm saddened that your stay was not a pleasant one. Our customer base is mainly budget-conscious travellers though we do welcome everyone. I must point out that it is untrue that we only have a single bathroom. We have 5 separate toilet cubicles, and whilst the one you mention is...

I stayed here with friends in April 2016 for 1 night. We didn't use the kitchen or communal facilities other than the toilet so I can't comment on them, but it was fine for us just having somewhere cheap to crash for the night. The staff were friendly and the place was cleaner than we all expected it to be....

Thanks for your review! Being a backpackers hostel we aim to offer basic but comfortable accommodation for the budget-conscious traveller, so I'm glad that you found good value in your stay. You have a good point about the hooks, we will get some installed very soon. I'm pleased you found the free WiFi useful - it's a strong signal and...

Checked into this hotel as a bed and shower for a conference. I really did not expect much. But God. It was awful! Let's start with walking in. Weed smoke engulfs you, tiny corridors and a tiny lounge with a to, full of unwelcoming faces. Check in, and climb the ridiculous amounts of tiny ricketty stairs to the room. The...

Our property, like many holiday accommodation properties in Brighton is housed within a grade II listed building. They were designed to be elegantly tall and visually striking, and the building has retained most of it's original features and quirks. The staircase is part of this, and unfortunately in buildings of this shape and size, a lift installation would not be...
