We have travelled a bit over the years and stayed mainly in hotels with lots of amenities. But Blanch House was ideal without needing all the other stuff. Well located with Saint James Street which has lots of eateries and other shops. Short walk to the pier. We had the Poppy room and rate the bed, pillows and doona as one of the best we have ever slept in. Modern bathroom and Kerry is a great host and the staff were a friendly. Have referred Blanch to all of our friends up for travel
From the moment we rang on the doorbell until the time we gave back the keys we had a lovely stay at the Blanch Hotel. We were met with a welcoming smile, lovely background music and a warm inviting ambience in the reception area. We were immediately advised about where to eat, so that we could book reservations due to it being Valentines weekend. Our room was clean, lovely decorated and met our needs. Easy access to the beach, cinema and town. The continental breakfast was simple but served the purpose. The owner Kerry and the staff Danni and Faye gave an excellent service. All and all a wonderful weekend break. We will be back.
Me and my Husband was very lucky to have been gifted a 'Romantic Night away' at Blanch House. As soon as you walk into the boutique hotel you can feel how luxurious the hotel is. From the dreamy decor to the warm welcome. When checking in the lady ungraded us to the harlequin room. Waiting for us was a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a bottle of champagne on ice. While having a drink downstairs we spoke to Kerry the hotel owner. He was so lovely and chatty. Even going out his way to find out the colour of the shade of paint the walls were painted as i loved it. Will defiantly be staying again at this beautiful hotel.
Blanch house was an amazing venue for our wedding. Kerry and his team went to great lengths and efforts to make our day so special. What stood out for us when we were planning a venue, was the fact blanch house is not only a first class boutique hotel but could cater for all our needs. Kerry was also able to provide us with his kind advice and expertise when it came to planning the day, which for us is what we were looking for. He even kindly allowed us to have a wine tasting session to help us make a decision as to the wine choices for the day. The day itself went so quick and everything was managed and executed brilliantly by Kerry and his team. From the ceremony, champagne canapé reception to the wedding breakfast and evening dancing to the managing of our music lists everything was brilliantly executed. The canapés and food produced by Colin the chef were amazing and first class too. The sticky toffee pudding maybe being the highlight…. Although it is difficult to choose. We stayed in the Perrier jouet suite for one night which was 1st class too. We will definitely be back to blanch house again. If you are looking for a high class personable planned wedding venue, we would highly recommend Blanch house. Thank you again Kerry and your team for making our day so special full of happy memories.…
Such a friendly, wonderful little hotel! The decor is quirky, the rooms and beds comfy, and the staff can't do enough for you. I stayed for 2 nights over the weekend of my friend's wedding, and am looking forward to my next stay :-) My room was at the back of the hotel and even with the window closed there was some noise from a nearby bar until closing time around 23:00. Otherwise the only noise was from a couple of door bangs from the fire doors, but certainly nothing troublesome and it wouldn't prevent staying here again.
Kerry and his team are lovely and go out of their way to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. There’s no parking at the hotel but you can buy day parking permits from them. The rooms are lovely and the hotel is central. We’ve visited three times now and will definitely return. David and Anna-Maria
Can’t fault this b&b at all, the staff and owner Kerry were nothing but nice and helpful, we was made to feel very welcome and the room was lovely. Also the location is very convenient being only a 10 minute walk away from the lanes and 5 minutes to the pier.
We had a fantastic one night stay at The Blanch House. It was really refreshing to stay in a place where all the staff were so friendly and accommodating. I particularly liked the personal touch of a phone call on the morning of our arrival to check to see if we had any special requirements and also to explain the parking arrangements. We stayed in the Harlequin room located towards the back of the building. The decor was lovely- very tastefully done which reflects the whole of the Blanch House. We had a great night’s sleep. The continental breakfast was more than adequate with a good variety of fresh produce. Nothing was too much for the very pleasant staff serving breakfast. Kerry, the owner, is a wonderful host. We’ll definitely be back.
It was our 1st time to brighton, couldn’t of picked a better place to stay loved it. Hotel was spotless, staff were brilliant, room was lovely and close to everything.couldn’t find a fault. Will definitely stay there again. Thank you for making us feel so comfortable
Gorgeous hotel! Our room was really quiet, clean and beautifully decorated (moroccan style) and with a large comfortable bed. Very good breakfast including a lovely freshly made fruit salad. Really warm welcome from Fay upon arrival and from the owner later on. Hotel is well placed. Highly recommend!!
