REFUSED coffee and soft drinks and food ,because we where holding the table for for people that wanted Alcohol . I dont drink and my friend had driven from eastbourne , so he could not drink alcohol either ... we where told we cannot be served because they wanted people who was drinking Alcohol to make more money .. discrimination because im a muslin gay man .. the manager was do rude .. never will I go there again .. we are regulars and we always have sundry lunch there WHAT A DISGRACE
I popped in for a few drinks and food with my partner, grey haired gentleman in glasses (possible manager) seemed more interested in sitting down and chatting to his mates instead of looking after his customers Not once did he come over and ask if we needed any drinks, at one point I had to get out my chair and ask him for some more drinks, our empty plates was left on the table for over half a hour before being removed It was early evening and only around 8 people in there so no excuses for terrible customer service Shame as the food was decent and went down well Would I go back ? Definitely NOT
Went to have a drink here with some friends. Was greeted by an extremely rude door person. Very aggressive and not at all welcoming. Waited around 10 mins to be served after other tables that arrived after us were served first. When I went to use the toilet was again rudely stopped and accused of not bothering to read the sign, when in fact I had not actually noticed it. The staff here need to remember that COVID does not offer and excuse for rudeness and should remember that without customers, they have no business. Maybe lockdown will give them some time to reflect on how they treat their clients.
Popped in today for some drinks. Super lovely staff & locals. All very talkative and happy to have a chat. Very dog friendly - our Labrador loved the treats and fuss from everyone! Will definitely be returning & very much recommend to everyone 🥰
Me and my friend came to Brighton for a weekend away and never have we ever been treated like this before. Firstly, we were asked by the bouncer to go to the bar upon arrival, and wait to be seated. As we proceeded to the bar, the manager (grey hair with glasses) asked what we were doing. As we said we were asked to go to the bar, we were called liars and his bouncer would ‘never have said that’. Then we were rudely told to go and sit down at a table, without being shown to a table. He then asked what drinks we want in a very rude manner and when I asked what cocktails were available, he threw the menu at me reluctantly and walked off without saying another word. Very unfriendly man so we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. We understand that COVID-19 may be causing extra pressures at this current moment in time but no one should be spoken to like this, as we have received good service in other places and expected nothing less from here.…
