Fuky hotel in great location. Across from pier right on the waterfront. Just a little seedy with loads of character. We've stayed a few times. Great people, clean rooms, good bar. Very gay and accommodating of us heteros. Lots of fun.Good value, Highly recommended.

Booked Christmas day here and met lots of up-market people. You dont want to mix with riff-raff. Hotel was spotless and the management were on top form. Would be perfect for gay couples. CLose to everything and rooms were huge. Directly across from the Pier so nice view.

We stayed one night in hotel Amsterdam, we did not expected anything extra, but at least quiet place to sleep. Neighbors on the top of our room was partying all night, and the door were moving every time ( I thought that earplugs on the table when we arrived were as joke).

Decided to stay in Brighton on a Saturday night and left it just a few days before arriving. Most 3 star hotels were really expensive but the Amsterdam had some available and reasonably priced. The superior room was spacious and fine. The continental breakfast was complimentary

Where do you park. I know the problems of parking in Brighton
On street car parking is possible in the bays in the Zone around the hotel (Zone C) and costs £8.00 per 24 hours. Permits can be obtained from our Reception on check in.

Brighton and Hove is probably the most unfriendly city in the UK towards car owners. If you can, avoid taking a car into Brighton. Use public transport. A 24 hour parking ticket that is useable only in area "C" where the hotel is situated will cost you £8.00 for twenty-four hours. You can but this from the hotel - but finding a space is not the easiest of tasks!. Public transport in Brighton is excellent and day passes are available for just the inner city (£2.50 per day,) the larger part of the city that costs a bit more and for anywhere that is about £7.00 from memory.

I have a blue badge do I have to pay for parking
Parking is horrendous in Brighton. There are blue badge places but whether there are any near the hotel I am afraid that I do not know. I suggest that you ask the hotel. However, if you are able to avoid using a car I would advise you do so - Brighton is the least friendly place to park anywhere in Britain with the most unfriendly rude and unhelpful parking attendants I have ever encountered anywhere in the UK or elsewhere in Europe. Surprising as Brighton is one of my favourite places to visit but I NEVER take my car.

Am I able to being my 8yo daughter?
I found it to be quite quiet here, so I don't think noise would be a huge issue. It is essentially a club below the hotel, so probably not the best for children. I saw someone check in with a dog, but did not see any children there... BUT... The good thing is that there is a door at the side of the building, which takes you straight to the hotel reception, stair and lift. So you can easily avoid the bar area if need be! Hope this helps :)
