Clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Fantastic sea view. Good breakfast in the morning. Didn't hear noise from the club/bar downstairs at night. Shame that the lift wasn't working but all in all a perfect base for our hen weekend! One of Brightons best.

What a great location and this was the attraction of the New Madeira Hotel. Parking is available for £10 per night but limited, however there is also on street parking which is free from 20:00 - 09:00 Many people have said this is a Stag/Hen base but during the week it was very different, the rooms appeared clean but a...

Hotel was basic but ok, we stayed in the dorm room which was slightly challenging with 10 girls and only 1 bathroom! Beds were OK but nothing special. Food was again only ok. Bar was reasonably priced. Lift didn't work at all during our stay. Staff were quite picky with us, we got told off for several silly things, like...

We were surprised when we got there as there was scaffolding up all over the hotel. Wouldn't have minded if we had been told in advance but it put us off. My mother in law to be had a knee replacement 6 weeks before we arrived and were told that the lifts were out of order and our rooms were...

Perfect for what we needed! Be sure to go bar red and get involved with fosters. I would advise an accumulator from Ladbrokes round the corner. Love the old boy manning the doors respect! Swerve breakfast, to much skin on the sausage........

We had trouble finding the hotel since it was covered with scaffolding and blue sheets. We wasn´t told that it was under renovation when we booked the room. Luckily we got a room facing the town so we didn´t have to look at the blue sheets. The room was well furnished with a refrigerator and in the bathroom was a...

We couldn't find our hotel initially due to it being covered in scaffolding and blue sheets. This is because the hotel was having works done which was failed to be mentioned when booking. Which meant that the views that we was told we would get was ruined by the blue sheet! When we was told where our room was the...

Although we were slightly disappointed with the scaffolding outside ruining our sea view our stay was perfectly acceptable overall. The room was clean and the staff friendly. The hotel is functional and provides what you need as just a bed for the night but I would stay elsewhere if it was for more than two.

We stayed for one night only and to pay 140pounds was like a joke. If you go any time soon, there is scaffolding outside so no view. Club at downstairs is loud and even on second floor we could hear it. Street is very loud as there are old windows. Now the room. Very old carpets, bathroom and basically everything....
