Annual three course lunch for 50 people was excellent for both food and service. The environment was idea and the staff looked after us very well. The organisation was brilliant and we will be going back again and again.

Thank you for this lovely review - Nik and his team are over the moon and really appreciate your support, over so many good years. We are very much looking forward to the next event
Very tired, outdated hotel. Felt as if I had stepped back into the 20th century. Not a good feeling. Terrible breakfast with scrambled egg which tasted like powdered egg swimming in margarine. And the hotel is not even good value. The only saving grace is...More

The Courtlands Hotel spans three centuries and is proud of its heritage

Lovely review and thank you so much...the Courtlands aims to offer something different and we are glad you enjoyed your stay so much. Hopefully we can see you back before too long and meanwhile renewed thanks for your custom and kind words
This was a last minute booking and was not a great experience. The room was more like a closet and the bathroom was poor in size, and very small and confined with poor toiletries, there is no air conditioning and the bed was poorly made...More

It is clear this guest should have stayed at one of the homogeneous chain hotels to which they refer as presumably this would better have met their needs. We have of course shown this review to our various stakeholders and they share our sense of...More
This was a last minute booking on a spontaneous trip to Brighton over the bank holiday weekend, thus, very few options. I was hesitant to even stay after entering the lobby, however, hadn't much choice. This was the shabbiest, filthiest hotel that I have ever...More

This really is complete nonsense and a wildly inaccurate review [of course their bedroom door would not be open]. That is if this so called guest even stayed. Of course there are no details of the room and if, as they say they were hesitant...More
