I was travelling solo and stayed for one night. The bedroom was very cold and there was no heating. I would have paid extra to have some heating on, but Roger was out for the evening and so not around to ask. The mattress was really uncomfortable and appeared to be a similar age to the house. This kept me...

I came to Montpellier hall with my wife , stayed there for 2 weeks , very nice and relaxing place , the owner is very friendly , the price per night was reasonable , I would recommend this place to my friends, and I would go back again next year .

If you're looking for run of the mill "trouser-press" accommodation, Montpellier Hall is probably not for you. But if you want a memorable stay in a lovingly preserved house and garden, I highly recommend it. Roger, the owner, takes pride in offering personal service - he even escorts you to your breakfast table - with kindness and dry humour.

We hosted a family celebration at Montpellier Hall, which was extremely memorable. The venue itself, and Roger’s commitment to delivering excellent service, set the tone, enabling my family and friends to experience a highly refined event befitting the occasion. Dressed in colonial livery, the staff was so helpful, efficient and courteous, as was Roger. The afternoon tea fare was very...

...unless you like cold room in winter (fortunately heating is possible with an extra price of 10£ per day!), most of the time cold water in the bathroom (unfortunately even if you offer to pay an extra price...), no electricity during the day (fortunately possible to have some with extra price!), dirty bathroom (cleaning probably an option)... And if you...

The gentleman in question did not stay with us in January 2015 or at any other time, we have no record of this stay or payment In fact in January we were CLOSED for business being the "off season". It could be possible that he is writing for someone else. A late teens French girl Maron Vigier did stay with...

The Regency splendour of 1846 and the style of an Italianate Villa adds greatly to the splendour of the dining room and lovely meal. A really unique setting for a winter evening out. Now hoping for a summer visit into the long garden with Japanese bonzai trees

I sometimes take small groups of my overseas clients to Montpelier Hall for Afternoon Tea. Roger hosts these events by reservation only. He gives a very informative and witty talk about the history of tea and the etiquette of taking tea. We always enjoy our visits and the opportunity to view the stunning gardens.

I spent almost a year at the Montpellier Hall. Definitely a good alternative for students, Who are looking for a convenient place to live. Roger, the owner, is a typical english gentleman, always helpful and ready to share his knowledges about Brighton. Beds are perfect. Service is flexible and efficient. The breakfast is a strong point of the suggested facilities,...
