Arrived in the dark at 8.40 got a warm welcome and kitchen staff kindly agreed to make us all dinners while we were shown our rooms. Enjoyed a substantial meal all cooked to order. Really nice coleslaw and lasagne with garlic ciabatta. Rooms spacious and clean. Fabulous breakfast beautifully cooked and presented. We chose this hotel because it is 7...

Firstly, don’t be fooled; in my opinion this is less a hotel, more a pub with accommodation, and to be fair, this is how it is described on the website. The staff are friendly, polite and helpful, and the food is of a high standard. The accommodation, however, leaves much to be desired. We had a twin room, which turned...

Large group called in after the Brighton Half marathon for Sunday lunch. Staff very friendly and service excellent and good value for money. Another bonus they were dog friendly as long as you sit in a certain area. Really enjoyed our visit and the selection of ales was good as well.

From the moment myself and fiancé and parents arrived we felt so welcome the staff are lovely. The rooms were cosy and the bed was so comfy. The locals were welcoming as well. From working in hospitality they sure know how to look after there guests. Would definitely be visiting again :)

Inexpensive single rooms are available in this conveniently located small hotel/pub complex. Double/twin also if desired. Not luxurious but entirely adequate and clean. Pleasant, helpful, staff. Tasty breakfasts with good choice. The pub section sells decent food and real ale. Sizeable free car park. Suits me down to the ground.

This was the 1st time I had visited in 5 years. It's a regular local boozer it was clean and tidy enough the service was a little slow but they did have a funeral wake in the other bar (I think this pub is used regularly for this). The food was absolutely awful tasteless slop. I certainly couldn't recommend it...

All the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The whole Hotel needs refurbishment. It was clean but very tired. Our room was small. Bed OK. en-suite very small. TV much too high and poor picture. For us Free parking was great. We then got the bus ( using our out of county bus passes) into central Brighton. We did this...

Our room was small but very clean and had everything we required. The bed was extremely comfortable and we slept well. The staff and chef were excellent, friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely evening meal and a huge breakfast, both of which we greatly enjoyed (veggie breakfast - great! - not many places bother to cater for vegetarians)....
