We had an overnight stay for my Partners Birthday. Great little guest house, we met both Eric and David, nothing seemed to be too much trouble... from coming out to find us in the car to help find a parking space to advice on best places to eat etc. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning ordered the night before, fresh,...

Stayed here for two nights and we were very well looked after. Great location close to the sea as well as bars and restaurants. We had a lovely room, a bit compact but well laid out with lots of facilities. Breakfast was fabulous and freshly cooked. Would recommend staying here and we will be back.

Spotlessly clean B&B. Close to the sea front. We had a comfortable double room with en suite. The breakfast was fantastic with perfect poached eggs. The owners and staff seemed to be determined that we have a great time. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They succeeded. We would definitely return.

We stayed here for one night and it is a really nice place to stay. It's been refurbished to a high standard. Our room and bathroom were rather small and overlooking the houses at the back, but was nicely furnished with good lighting and nice touches such as free bottles of water and packets of sweets. We only met one...

David and Eric are great hosts. We were looked after as soon as we walked in. We booked the room as we were running the Brighton Marathon and they did all they could to help us, by serving breakfast a bit earlier and letting us shower after. The only problem was we couldn't have the proper breakfast because of the...

Had a lovely stay, David and Eric couldn't have been more accommodating to me and my boyfriend who are both vegetarian including great restaurant recommendations. Our room was cosy and very clean with some lovely touches. Breakfast was great both days. Thank you! We'll be back!

This was my second stay at Guest and the City. I was arriving very late after an evening meeting in London and had no problems - David waited up until I arrived. The hotel rooms are lovely and comfortable, light and airy, and very clean. David recommended a few places for me to eat and then after a good night's...

Stayed here for one night and it could not have been better. Nice, clean room, comfy bed, nice shower! Very central location so easy to walk to most places in Brighton! Hosts were lovely, very attentive and friendly, and made us feel very welcome! They make a really good home cooked breakfast in the morning too! Will definitely stay again!

Easily one of the best places we've stayed in Brighton. David and Eric are terrific hosts, our room (#4) was quite small but cleverly designed to make best use of the space and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast too. I am sure we will be back.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Guest and the City is a boutique Guesthouse that reflects all that we love about Brighton. With seven private bedrooms, situated in the heart of Kemptown, minutes from the centre of Brighton, 30 seconds from the beach and opposite the famous Palace Pier, it’s the perfect location to explore Brighton for Business or pleasure. We want our guesthouse to reflect everything we like about staying in Brighton. Guest in the City therefore takes the best bits of a traditional B&B – a relaxed, friendly service, a central location and of course a top-notch breakfast with locally sourced ingredients – and puts them in modern, high-spec surroundings. The result is a boutique feel without luxury prices. To us, that’s what Brighton is all about – finding new things that surprise you and make you smile. ... more   less
