We stayed at the Pines for a couple of nights during a short stay in Swanage. Have to firstly say the staff were exceptional kind and helpful and were always attentive and considerate. We stayed in a family suite with separate small self contained bed room for our daughter and this was absolutely ideal. The rooms were clean, well aired...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights; we were part of a large walking group. This is a comfortable hotel. Pleasant welcome from reception. Room was fine 9save for the smell of paint mentioned below) particularly as there was an adjoining single bedroom which we used to store cases etc. Spectacular sea view. Small negatives - the room smelt...

The hotel is positioned on the cliff top with a direct path down to the pebble beach from the hotel garden. The view from our room was great. The room was clean and correctly furnished but on the small side. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful and our dog was made welcome. Breakfast was very good.

I booked a single room via an online booking engine, and the price was very reasonable with inclusive full breakfast and free parking, these are often not included or mis- represented, but not in this case. The Hotel was at the further end of the bay and a reasonable walk along the sea front if a trip to the town...

The Pines is an excellent traditional hotel, situated at the Ballard Down end of Swanage right above the beach. It is beautifully furnished throughout with soft restful carpets and comfortable rooms. Making a return visit, we were not disappointed with our delightful room which had a balcony overlooking the sea. Staff are all efficient, pleasant and friendly. The food was...

We booked a last minute night away and have 2 small digs so was aware that our accommodation choices would be limited at such short notice.. My Husband rang the Hotel direct to confirm that we could take our dogs- yes, but there is a £5.00 each charge ( £10 in total for them) and we have "different bedding" for...

Would recommend. Stayed one night for a family gathering. Room small but really well designed so it had everything you needed and did not feel small. Excellent breakfast and very efficient staff. Unfortunately we couldnt see the view cos of mist but I am sure it is wonderful

We stayed in the family room, it has a double and single room. Hotel is in a quiet part of Swanage with lovely views towards the sea. Staff are friendly and helpful. Dogs are allowed in the rooms but not the communal areas. Lovely and relaxing weekend, will definitely go back.
