A gentle amble up from the station, this lovely B and B is a delightful 10 minute walk through the park and the stunning grounds of Sherborne Abbey. First tip, don't walk past. There is no sign. Thank you Mary for the most fantastic stay. The room was absolutely lovely, and Mary went out of her way to be helpful,...

A delightful 200 year old cottage which is very close to the centre of the lovely town of Sherborne. The room was small but very comfortable, especially the bed. The bathroom was also small but perfectly adequate with a good shower. Everthing was spotless. Tea making facilities were provided along with good quality biscuits.Quality soaps etc were also provided. The...

Rose Cottage is very welcoming. Our bed was incredibly comfortable, the shower was excellent and the breakfasts were delicious. I especially enjoyed the local sausage and homemade raspberry jam. Mary herself is a lovely lady and enjoys friendly conversations with her guests. We had mixed up our booking and arrived a day before she was expecting us, but Mary was...

Mary is a wonderful Hostess and runs a spotless Bed and Breakfast. The Breakfast is excellent and could not be more central in Sherborne. She has great taste and decor. We stayed for three nights and her Muesli is home made along with her Jams and Marmalades.

Rose cottage is very aptly named. Not only are there beautiful flowers and roses all around the house, but Mary herself is as lively and lovely as one of them. Mary delights in taking good care of her guests, and every detail of the cottage has been carefully considered and arranged. It is a small cottage, with two rooms to...

My husband and I stayed at Mary's comfortable B&B for two nights during a trip to a wedding. We were looked after very well by Mary, staying in the double bedroom. She is friendly and welcoming, and just knew straight away we would need an iron to smooth out our ruffled posh wedding clothes! Her breakfasts were the best I...

We stayed at Rose Cottage one night only but wished we could have stayed longer. Mary is a very welcoming, authentic and friendly lady. Her house is very homely and decorated with much taste. We had the twin bedroom the only fault of which was that is faced the street, so it was a little loud until we had closed...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rose Cottage. Mary was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The bedrooms were clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The bathrooms were spotlessly clean with good showers. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided as well complimentary biscuits. Breakfast was delicious, with an excellent and varied choice - from home-made muesli to eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms,...

My wife and I were lucky enough to stay three nights last week at Rose Cottage, after reading such excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. Mary is an outstanding host, very personable, helpful, and accommodating. Our double bedroom, with en suite, was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished, and overlooked Mary's beautiful cottage garden, an oasis of peace. The breakfast was faultless, with a...

We stayed 3 nights whilst in Sherborne visiting family. Mary was extremely friendly, very welcoming, and she has a lovely cottage which she maintains impeccably. Everything is pristine and homely. We stayed in a double bedroom with ensuite shower; extremely comfortable and quiet at the back of the cottage. Ensuite was small but very clean, modern and more than sufficient...
