Ariane, Jamie, and the wider Yalbury Cottage team, have, if my recent first visit is any indication, reached as close to perfection as it is possible to be. The cottage is superbly inviting, the food simply exquisite and sumptuous, while the rooms are homely, and yet pampering. Ariane and Jamie somehow have managed to fuse boundless, unhurried, hospitality, with an...

A business trip brought me to Dorchester and a good room rate on a Monday night to Yalbury Cottage. This is really a restaurant with rooms and what a restaurant. The food wad fabulous, both dinner and breakfast. Local Dorset produce, brilliantly cooked and served. Rooms very comfortable, but see note about room selection. Staff are first class and it...

A surprise treat for my partner and we couldn't have wished for anything better. Amazing hosts, fantastic food and wine, and our room was excellent. My breakfast omelette was by one of the best that I had tasted and my partners full English was excellent. An amazing place and we will certainly go back to.

It was cosy, comfortable and very clean. We had our evening meal here which was exceptionally good, ( the chef and his wife are...

Yalbury Cottage proved to be an outstanding venue for our gathering. The food was absolutely superb and the service excellent. I stayed here twice last year, the first time was faultless so I asked for my company to book me in again when I was in the area for business. Unfortunately the second time wasn't as good as the first. The room was infested with flies although as soon as I notified the management this was resolved, although I went...

I and my wife spent only one night at this small warm intimate place. We cannot wait to return. Our home in in a small country village so this was an ideal home from home. The staff at this place are as staff used to be many years ago. Oh what a pleasure to be treated as an individual person...

Fabulous weekend at Yalbury for my Dad's 70th, comfortable clean rooms, attentive flexible service and amazing food. A few of us there with other guests on the Friday and then we took over the whole place for the Saturday night, great service the whole time. Went because my parents have had numerous great meals there over the last few years....
