When arriving, we waited 45 minutes at reception for the owners to try and find our pre-booking. We decided to take the lift. No one told us that the lift didn't have a stable door and in fact moved, so with 4 of us in the lift. It got stuck and no one came to help. Entering our rooms, I...

I had booked directly with the Maemar hotel only to arrive and find it closed with a note on the door to go next door to the Glendevon. The room I stayed in was actually this hotel. I stayed an extra night after an event for my flight next morning. Left a detailed review for the place I was supposed...

Can only say that this is one of the strangest hotels I've ever stayed in! First impressions: a bit rundown and in need of an upgrade, but that doesn't really matter when you're only staying for one night like us (which is seriously enough). The receptionist asked for photo ID which was slightly bizzare seeing as we'd booked through booking.com...

Hotel Glendevon is a budget hotel. Best price around town in this particular day. We did not expect a marble bath and gold doorhandles but we were surprised with what we came across. Main reception is not interesting. A little run down and dark. Two water tanks added some life to area. Room basic with tea cattle. Toilet added by...

The male receptionist was rude and incompetent. I gave him your voucher and then he asked me 3 times for my name, which is clearly shown on the voucher. Then he asked for photo ID, not sure why. He could not find the booking so asked who the reservation was booked with. That is also clearly shown on top of...

The room was clean but small You couldn't open the wardrobe door as the gap between the bed wasn't big enough. No saucers to go with the cups maybe they think that people will steal them! No where to put toiletries in the shower or glasses. No pictures on the walls - Curtains were hanging down off the pole. Room...

Arrived to a long queue at reception. Full of the vomiting stag night lad types. This would explain why the receptionist insisted on photocopying my photo I. D. Never been asked for that before. And of course, loads of doors banging all night. No chance of sleep. Asked the receptionist for a heater or the radiator turned on. Said it...

Where to start...Upon arrival the availability of parking was very limited, if you were lucky there may be a space to squeeze into, otherwise it was the public car park approx' 200yds away. The entrance is used as the Smoking area with ash and dog-ends littering the entrance steps. The reception is dark and un-inviting. Out of the 3 rooms...

Dear guest, I am sorry but we do not have parking for the hotel. The entrance we do try to keep clean and is checked regularly and all rubbish etc cleaned away. We are going to be having the reception updated to make it brighter towards the beginning of next year, likewise some refurbishments in the rooms, hopefully. I really...

Had a rat run over me while in bed!!!!! Manager avoided eye contact when confronted and then finally admitted there was a rat problem at the hotel. Dirty and noisy at the hotel, over flowing bins at the front of the property

Dear Guest, We certainly do not have rats, we have within the last couple weeks had an inspection and have found no evidence of this, we have documentation proving this. Our rooms and communal areas are cleaned every day. Yes it can be rather noisy at the weekends as we do cater for stag & hen groups. We do not...

In need of a very serious update and face lift. Inadequate parking. Steps into reception were covered in ash and cigarette ends. Room was very shabby and dated and in need of a good clean. The bedding was clean and bed quite comfy but that was the only positive comment I can give! Curtains didn't fit and were hanging off...
