Stayed here with my girlfriend for a five day break to blow a few cobwebs away. The hotel is located only a couple of minutes away from the cliff top view down onto the beach, and probably ten minutes walk to actually get onto the beach itself. The Wood Lodge is a deceptively beautiful building inside and out, and we...

Welcoming good value. Four poster bed. We especially liked how breakfast menu. E.g.. Light option cereal, fresh fruit. Yogurt, toast, fruit juice, tea or coffee. Tom is very helpful and friendly. Great location and beautiful gardens.

Just stayed for one night but such a lovely little B and B I will come back. We had a very comfortable twin room with a double bed and a single bed. It had a great view of the sea in the distance, which was a 2 min walk away. Friendly welcoming hosts and clean comfortable facilities.

This is such a great place to stay, with great service, and equally great people looking after us. The Lodge could not be better placed on a quiet (for Bournemouth) pine tree lined avenue, with its own quite splendid gardens - which looked very inviting, or would have been if it was not for the gales that were blowing. But it...

We booked this hotel as we wanted somewhere convenient and dog-friendly. We were very warmly welcomed, along with our little Jack Russell, Bertie. Nothing was too much trouble – our sat nav had broken on the way but our host gave us good directions to the restaurant we had booked as well as printing out a route map for us,...

I really enjoyed the good service provided by the staffs. It was a nice place to stay in. Even though the design is out of date (80s/90s?) I liked that place. Room is big for one/two people and that it is just 10 minutes walking to city centre and 5 minutes to the coast makes me wanting to return again!...

Wood Lodge is a beautiful building with spacious rooms. We were staying for my sisters wedding which was taking place in the sister hotel The Yenton. Our room was clean with quality bedding and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in away from home. The breakfast was delicious with quality produce. Would certainly stay again.

Lovely clean and comfortable room. Superb breakfast and very pleasant polite, courteous and helpful staff. Normally stay at Yenton, which is also very good and run by same good owners, was not disappointed to have to go to Wood Lodge.

We stayed here during the Bournemouth Airshow. It is in the perfect position to catch all the action yet remained peaceful and tranquil when we returned to relax. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed, the freshly cooked breakfast was delicious and the staff couldn't be more helpful. We will certainly return.

Thank Anne T

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are situated on the East cliff of Bournemouth, the famous 7 miles of sandy beach can be reached in a matter of minutes or a 15 minute stroll along the cliff top and through the gardens will take you to the centre of the Town. The Wood Lodge was built in the early 1900's and has retained many of the original features added to the house then. It has the feel of a manor house set in large, green leafy gardens to the front and rear which add to the relaxing and quiet atmosphere you can expect to experience here. It is, however, only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the town centre ... more   less
