Very nice property in a very nice neighborhood near the sea. Reasonably priced. Convenient parking. Friendly staff. Common area's furniture a bit dated. Shower was a little awkward, but ultimately manageable. Would recommend.

Thoroughly lovely from start to end of our 3 night stay - warm welcome from the manager Thom, who we saw regularly throughout out stay and was immensely helpful and hospitable. Impeccably clean rooms with fresh quality bedding and spotlessly clean shower rooms cared for by the lovely Yvonne, who also took care of us with charm and warmth at...

Adequate for length and purpose of stay. Short walk from Bournemouth station approx 15mins. Also15min walk to the beach which was handy. Clean rooms with small tv and ensuite shower facilities. Breakfast was lovely, good quality sausages and great service. Shower is tiny however and the water power is extremely poor and tepid temperature.

We had a great three night stay here, if you are looking for something that has easy access to Bournemouth town centre then this is ideal. It is close enough to the beach but yet lovely and quiet in the evening. The room was spacious, they were very accommodating with our dog. Parking is a bit of a squeeze but...

Room sizes were good and beds comfortable but some of our rooms had very poor water pressure and very little hot water. The breakfast was a bit of a disaster as it took over an hour to make poached eggs and bacon for 7 people. When it eventually did come they had forgotten 2 of the breakfasts.

I booked this hotel directly as wished to enquire about parking - limited! I was told I could have bed and breakfast for a little cheaper than I had seen on Booking.com. The room was very dated but spacious and very clean. They are two comfortable lounges and a beautiful garden. However, I was disappointed to go down to breakfast...

We found the Wood Lodge in a fantastic location, the hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and the food was ideal. My partner and I went for a short break and would recommend the Wood Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. It was very reasonably priced and with on site parking made for an opportunity to...

We visited this lovely little Hotel in july 2016. When we arrived at the entrance, there was a long drive up to the front, with plenty of car spaces, we were very impressed. We were greeted by the manager tthom, who gave us a warm welcome, what a lovely man. He chatted to us then showed us to our room,...

Stayed here for a couple of nights. They are currently in the process of upgrading rooms. Not that this affected our stay in anyway. I have to say, staff were exceptionally helpful and Wood lodge was a great place to stay. Sitting in the gardens on a summers evening was brilliant. There were 8 of us plus a dog. Monty...

Room 5 Lovely room with a large king size bed overlooking the front garden. Only down side was the water pressure in the taps it was a dribble. The guys who run the place are very helpful and friendly. The place has a lovely relaxed feel. The breakfast was very good and freshly prepared on request.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are situated on the East cliff of Bournemouth, the famous 7 miles of sandy beach can be reached in a matter of minutes or a 15 minute stroll along the cliff top and through the gardens will take you to the centre of the Town. The Wood Lodge was built in the early 1900's and has retained many of the original features added to the house then. It has the feel of a manor house set in large, green leafy gardens to the front and rear which add to the relaxing and quiet atmosphere you can expect to experience here. It is, however, only a few minutes from the hustle and bustle of the town centre ... more   less
