was very surprised to find an old portable tv in the room with no freeview box at all, then the toilet doesn't flush and despite repeatedly asking for it to be fixed or for another room nothing gets done. its august bank holiday yet the swimming pool is shut?. generally very grubby round the endges and needs cleaning and decorating....

I was a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews of this hotel but was not as bad as some make out. Yes it is a bit dated but the room was clean and bed comfortable. We were provided with extra pillows and an extra blanket as I feel the cold. Upon arrival we found adequate parking and the staff invited...

Okay.. this isn't the best hotel going, The furniture is retro not dated as it is obviously well kept and new ish, I wish this could be said about the carpet and the wall paper however! These are in need of refitting and asap as well as the radiator which had badly rusted and looked like it had leaked previously....

Not a bad hotel, but in need of some TLC. Yes the hotel has a dated feel to it, but that is Britannia Hotels - the idea is that the hotels have an "art deco" feel. If you don't like this kind of thing, I'd seriously suggest a Premier Inn or Travelodge instead. The main problem with the hotel is...

Hotel old and in need of refurbishment. Creaky floors. Our room at the back did not have a very good outlook, however the room was clean and adequate. The bed was rather hard but slept alright. The staff were very friendly but they were kept so busy so they did not have time to chat. Most of the food was...

We visit bournemouth regularly and on this occasion booked last minute so ended up here. The horror. Rooms are completely dilapidated, bathroom is a cupboard, pillows are waifers (despite several attempts to get more, we had one waifer each), swimming pool and parking are extra, staff are clearly not happy in their work. With many, many lovely hotels in Bournemouth...

I'll start with the good things, it's clean and the staff are very efficient and friendly better than some of the more expensive hotels I have stayed in. It does have a good location right next to the sea front which is a stones through away from the pier and shops but not much of a view of that from...

Dreadful hotel, miserable staff customers complaining left right and centre, food was cold, room basic and very dated, carpets throughout the hotel are filthy, only plus would be 5 minute walk to the beach!
