Have just returned from a 2 night break. Very friendly welcome at reception. Clean room even it was a bit on the small side. Shower powerful and plenty of very hot water. Rooms were something out of the 70s with patterned carpets and coloured bathroom suite. Breakfast was very good and served by lovely waiters. Plenty of choice and served...

As a Chef and Retired publican I can only say this place needs bringing up to date. The main meals are all boil in bag and reheated stuff, even the stuffing balls are bought in frozen, re heated then cut in half and placed on top of meat in gravy on the plate along with a croquette potato, it's the same...

Great location with 5 minute walk into town and 10 minute walk to the beach. Rooms were comfortable and beds were OK. Pool provided hours of fun for the family. Rooms serviced every day and coffee and tea replenished.

A friendly hotel. The décor and furnishings very dated. Standard room with television. No toiletries, except for small bar of soap and small sized towels. Nice spacious grounds with an indoor swimming pool. Good value for money compared to other hotels in Bournemouth. Location is fairly good, though walking distance to seafront too far and need to drive or get...

I really enjoyed stay in this hotel. Very friendly staff members, nice breakfast and nice bar where was a music performance with a man who sang and had a great contact wit the audience. Very good value for money but the beach is quite far. But if someone does not mind walking it is fine. The swimming pool was out...

Room was basic...

We've been here before and it's brilliant. The whole place has that 60's feeling and decor. Rooms are standard but comfortable and the breakfast is always lovely. The price is great and just right for what you get. Pool is an added extra which I am yet to try but it looks very inviting! No doubt we'll be back to...

Stayed here for weekend while attending conference at the BIC. Its in a quiet part of town so quiet for sleeping. room old fashioned but clean and comfy bed. shower was just a hanging-up hose and water flow weak and toilet squeezed in but no other other criticisms. Breakfast service was quick and food was fine. It is mostly a...

The rooms need renovating, very old fashioned with a disgusting patterned carpet, no telephone in the bedroom and you get given a bar of vile old fashioned soap. Looks good on the outside but not in!!

From the map this slightly dated hotel with ridiculous photos on booking.com (corridor, stairwell, outside pool block) looks further out from the centre than i would have liked, however its next to the upper gardens, which is a beautiful, pedestrianised walk to the town and beach (takes about 15mins). My room was on the third floor, next to the Bournemouth...
