Stayed here for a week in a superior seaview room. The "sea view" was disappointing....and first impressions are really important! Yes we could see the sea...just about...but it was largely obscured by ugly promenade buildings and a carousel. Obviously the hotel can do nothing about these....but maybe the decription of the view could be more honest. I have stayed in...

This was our second visit to The Hermitage Hotel and wonderful stay we had. We received a really warm welcome from reception upon arrival and was shown to our room by Steven. We stayed in one of the suites which was a lovely spacious room, with a very comfortable bed. Evening meals in the restaurant were delicious with a good...

Food was excellent, staff were very efficient, caring and polite and the accommodation, although a rather small room, was very nice The location was ideal very close to beach and shops. Had a lovely sea view. It is good to find somewhere where the old standards of comfort and service are still evident.

Once again a most enjoyable few days. The hotel's proximity to the pier, gardens, shops and BICC is a huge bonus. The majority of other hotels in Bournemouth have rather steep hills whereas the Hermitage has not; a further added bonus. The staff as always amazing and we have booked again for September. Thankyou Hermitage.

We stayed just one night here and found it to be a lovely hotel. Nice clean bright room with a comfy bed. Don't expect a quiet stay if your room is on the front of the hotel and any events in Bournemouth gardens will be heard! Lovely buffet breakfast and friendly staff. Very enjoyable stay.

I always stay at the Hermitage when I holiday in Bournemouth and have just spent a week there with my Sister and Mother, who is 91. The staff are always so friendly and helpful, the food is delicious and the rooms extremely comfortable. I must agree with the comment about the windows not opening very far and the fan they...

Stayed here for 1 night and Harbour Heights in Poole (Sandbanks) for 2 nights, and have given both 3 stars, but for very different reasons. The room we had here was, frankly, a disgrace, but the service was superb, and the food was nice and well priced. We came on a hot June Saturday night, and got the last room...

I went with a friend to this hotel for a long weekend 20th-23rd June and we both commented on how welcome we had been made to feel from the time we entered to the time we left the hotel. The staff have got it just right, they're friendly, informative and helpful but are not fussing around you unnecessarily. The general...

Went with friends and stayed one night in the hotel. Had 2 rooms on the 4th floor which could have been mistaken for sauna's! The windows only opened about an inch and found one tiny fan in the wardrobe which did nothing but move the hot air around the room. The rooms are not on the cheap side and are...

Hi Jayne, As discussed on departure, the weather had been exceptional hot in Bournemouth over the past weekend, with the warmest day recorded this year. The bedroom windows in the hotel have a safety hinge, however when pressed simultaneously they will release, allowing all the windows to open fully - I apologise that this wasn't explained. The Hermitage, undoubtedly the...
