We decided to stay at Marlins mainly due to the location which is near to the town and the seafront. We found the standards at the hotel to be high and the staff ready to help. We decided the breakfast was the best we had had and managed to skip lunch on a few days. We have already booked a... More

We chose to stay at Marlins for a 2 day weekend based on all the great reviews we read on Trip Advisor. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't the best. Firstly, we got the room of the top floor of the B&B, advertised as a room with a private bathroom. The room itself was very clean but super small. Also, when we... More

We are very disappointed that these guests didn't enjoy their stay with us, we wish they had mentioned this while they were here. We are at pains to make sure that the room desciptions on our website are accurate and honest. We describe this room as being at the top of the building, with a private bathroom opposite the room... Iread the reviews here expecting an amazing place but Iwas a bit disappointed. Firstly there was an issue wit parking. The hotel says they have enough space for everyone but the car park is tiny so we had to park on the carpark of the hotel next door and were then forced to hand over our car keys which we... More

I'm afraid this is a case of you cant please all of the people all of the time. I'm not sure what we could have done to make these guests happy, it was clear from the moment they checked in there was going to be nothing we could do to satisfy them, although we did try very hard. To take... More

The service we received at Marlins was excellent, we received a friendly welcome and lots of information about the area. The room was very clean and comfortable, with a separate private bathroom. The room we noticed was exceptionally quiet which we were surprised at as the hotel was fully booked and on a main road. The breakfast was tasty and... More

We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. This is our only room with a private bathroom rather than an ensuite shower and is advertised and sold as a room with a bath only, no shower. The shower attachment is simply for washing hair whilst in the bath, hence no shower fixing on the wall. We do have excellent... More

Having read the comments about this hotel we took the chance and certainly were not disappointed. Excellent accommodation, very friendly staff and the Full English Breakfast was by far the best we have had in a hotel. Piping hot and grease free! Will certainly be staying again next time in Bournemouth

We spent a night at Marlins in the middle of August, although this is one of their busiest times of year Michael and Neil always had time to talk warmly to guests and answer any questions they had about the hotel or surrounding area. We stayed in the Garden room on the ground floor which, because it was at the... More

I first stayed at the Marlins back in December 2005 in the dead of winter, and came back in late June 2007. My latest trip in late July 2010 again did not disappoint. The reasonably priced rooms are tastefully decorated and my bathroom was recently refurbished. The breakfast is stellar. Best of all are the charming and delightful hosts.

My daugther and I stayed at Marlins for a few days in August after staying in February with my partner. Once again everthing was just as we wanted it to be. Our room was lovely and peaceful with an outlook over the small but well kept garden. We started our days with the made to order cooked breakfast which is... More

We have just returned from a 6 night stay at Marlins with our young son and have to say that this is the best hotel we have ever stayed in during our various visits to Bournemouth.
