Nothing to criticise. Does exactly what it says, faultlessly. Clean, chintzy, good service and friendly staff. If we all support good honest independent hotels like this one the world would be much more interesting. No chain type decor, no corporate points scheme, just a good English traditional hotel. And visiting from Ireland I appreciated it. Thanks.

Stayed from Friday to Monday. The room was dated but clean. The staff were pleasant but unfortunately due to functions going on Friday and Saturday night and our room being above this we were unable to get any sleep before 12pm. Unless we had a room that was away from all the noise I wouldn't stay here any which is...

The food is always great and I will be going back again. Roberto,the...

This is not a review of the hotel as such (although two friends stayed there and were very happy) but about the dinner laid on for eight of us to celebrate my birthday. We were extremely well looked after by Roberto and everybody enjoyed their meal and drinks. We benefited from the reasonably priced 2 or 3 course meal which...

Stayed for a long weekend for an organised function. Rooms are great. Staff are extremely helpful and attentive, nothing is to much trouble. Food is exceptional and very good portions and variety. Breakfast Buffett is great especially the fried breakfast!! Great to stay twice a year and look forward to our next visit in October.
