This is an ok hotel but not worth the money paid or the 4 stars it is rated as. Clean and warm. Mediocre, lukewarm breakfast. Friendly staff. In one sentence I would rate this hotel as 'past it's best'.

A very pleasant stay. Excellent food. Pity about the uncomfortable bed in an otherwise pleasant room. All the staff well mannered and cheerful and helpful. Disabled car parking in the hotel forecourt was very well organised.

Lovely hotel and great location. Only a minutes walk down the hill to the shops, gardens and beach. Cosy and welcoming reception/lounge area. All rooms clean and tidy. Have stayed several times without any complaints.

Very pleasant well located hotel. Only problem seemed to occurred in the restaurant when it was busy, as it didn't seem set up to cope with the volume and service fell apart when the restaurant was full. Other than that all very good.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size and nice and clean. My only criticism would be that the pool was rather small and the dining room was very cold on one evening. Liked the fire in the lounge area which really gave the place character. Ideally located near town centre and beach

A lovely hotel, with wonderful staff, in a brilliant location and serving great food. There is a heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room. Add to this the Peel Hotels Gold Voucher offer and it is exceptional value. Thank you

Stayed here many times, usually the same room, we love it, me, my wife and 3yr old little boy. The pool is so warm! Wonderful staff, great location, been coming here for so long, never had any complaints, I just couldn't stay anywhere else in bournemouth now, it's like a second home. Thanks to all the team. What to do for London "retirees" during a cold spell in early Feb?! The Bournemouth area is great for short breaks and the Norfolk Royale well placed to enjoy the local amenities (e.g. Russell Cotes exhibition, a 10 minute walk from the hotel, is a gem). Plenty of good bars/eateries too.

Had a 2 night special break for 2. Rooms very nice and clean. staff were friendly, restaurant was terrible. Waiters need more training, removing items from the table while we were still eating etc. Food was tasteless and portions were rationed to say the least. Its advertised as 3 courses for £27.00, I would value it at worth no more...

Had champagne tea here today. Excellent sandwiches in very fresh bread, delicious scones and lovely cakes served in a very comfortable lounge area. Sadly the hotel seemed to be very understaffed and as a result service seemed to be somewhat unprofessional and chaotic. I was somewhat surprised to be asked to pay in advance at the bar for our tea...
