Dear Guest, I have a little difficulty with understanding your review to be honest, however I would like to apologise if some things were not as they should have been. It is true we offer 2 types of rooms - standard and premier and like any other hotel in the world, we do have different prices for both types. Thank...

Parking in the car park was a bight tight, not much room for error, the outside is clean and tidy but the building could do with a lick of paint, our room 247 was a bit tired but very clean and the bed was very comfortable, reading the reviews I was a bit worried about staying there but all in...

Hotel is dated. We were told by staff that we were " in the older wing" and it showed. It was very clean and tidy but tiered looking. But the pool and the staff were lovely, and it was just a short walk to the beach which was a bonus. It was a bit difficult getting in and out of the...

Stayed at The Wessex on Saturday night. When we arrived we thought the hotel looked quite shabby from the outside and could do with some TLC. However once inside it appeared a lot better. Reception staff were very pleasant, and helpful. Our room was on the first floor, which was just as well as the lift didn't seem to work...

Nice hotel looks a bit shabby from the outside. We had a newly decorated disabled room 148 really big and spacious. Food nice but if your a small eater they don't know what that is. All in all would go back

We had an evening meal at the Wessex Hotel. The service was excellent and we had a lovely roast beef dinner. We had soup first. There was a very good choice of desserts and fine wines to choose from. We recommend this restaurant.

Slightly dated hotel, but absolutely fine for a weekend stay. Used it as a base for hiking and the pool/sauna were a nice addition after a long day out. Close to town, the beach and had a nice breakfast spread, although a bit of a queue for popular items. We were down to breakfast 30 minutes before closing, which may...

Every year I travel to Bournemouth for a holiday. I am not very adventurous and tend to go to the same places every time, but following a decline in the previous hotel, I decided to try the Wessex, and I was certainly not disappointed! The hotel is rather grand and well located on the West Cliff, a few minutes from...

I don't think at all suitable for disabled wheelchair user. The front access lift is not working you have to go round the back which is used by some of the staff. The fire doors are so heavy to open and get wheelchair through. We was put on 3rd floor which was not suitable as disabled room had been let...

Dear Carole, Thank you for taking the time to write a few words about us. Yes we have a disabled entrance at the side of the hotel and although it is not used by staff very often, it can happen from time to time and I am not sure what the problem exactly is with our staff using this entrance?...
