We stayed here last week, it was my first time at this hotel. Our room was wonderful, with a balcony/decking area, complete with sun loungers. I have to say, the staff were so helpful and actually looked like they wanted to be there, which makes a change. They have a lovely outdoor pool area, which was great to take advantage of. Most importantly, unlike most hotels, once they have you there, they do not overcharge for food or drinks, which makes a refreshing change. Both, by the way, were very good indeed. We will definitely stay here again. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the hotel is situated just far enough away from all the madding crowd, but close enough if that is your thing

While the staff were generally friendly, the hotel itself is faded and worn out, and the management unbending and unapologetic - and the stay was expensive. No housekeeping service - "It's the pandemic" - even though restrictions have now been lifted - not able to leave car in car park (for which they charge a £20 daily rate) beyond 12:00 midday to site see in the town on the day of departure, despite a 15:00 check-in time. They appear to be using the pandemic-related staycation trend to gouge visitors.

Dear petervW5640WN, I am sorry that you found your stay disappointing and not value for money. We are not servicing rooms everyday as stated on our prearrival letters and on our website as not all our staff have had their vaccinations yet. However, we do hand you a letter on arrival stating should you like it done we will do this for you but it needs to be booked at reception. Sorry if this was not explained properly to you, but it is also stated in the room compendiums as well. We charge £10 a night for parking if you book through an online travel agent and due to limited parking with guests arriving too this year we have had to stop guests leaving their cars in the car park after 12noon as otherwise they do not have somewhere to park when they arrive for their stay. Please know that feedback such as yours is important to us to help us improve our offering. Kind regards Rosie Radwell, Managing Director

Really clean, family friendly hotel up in east cliff with stunning views. Well mannered staff who are always friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a family room with balcony and it was large, clean and overlooked Bournemouth beach and beyond. Parking is at the rear of the hotel. Bar prices for food and drinks are reasonably priced. No air conditioning in our room but a large floor fan was provided. Not many plug sockets but an extension lead was provided with no problem whatsoever.

We stopped here last minute after deciding to extend our stay in Bournemouth. First of all, the location is excellent for the pier/beach etc, as well as the shops. Our room was not quite ready when we arrived, but we were made to feel welcome whilst we waited. The room was tidy and had a lovely sea view, which was unexpected. The pool is very nice for a dip on a hot day and the overall layout of the hotel is good. The staff are very attentive and made a fuss of our kids and the breakfast was fantastic. Would stay again.
