TRIP ORGANISER ADVISED BY DAVID URQUHARTS COMPANY THAT OUR HOTEL WOULD BE 3 TO 4 STAR. Arrived Monday. Room was freezing. No central heating, it's being fixed we are told. 3 days later still not fixed. Only a sheet and a type of blanket on our bed. Shaving light still not repaired. No shower, no niceties such as shampoo or...

A very poor hotel. Our first impression was of a tired and run down hotel.Reception, lounge, bar and entertainment rooms were clean and tidy, though peeling wallpaper and dirty marks left a poor impression. Our bedroom was dirty.I counted over 100 grubby marks on peeling wallpaper.3 large water stains on the ceiling.Doors that have not seen varnish or paint in years. Our headboard was loose...

Stayed here with a travel company. Staff are very welcoming and friendly however the whole hotel needs a lot of tlc. I would not stay here again by choice just because of the interior. Our headboard was not fixed to the bed and kept banging on the wall every time I turned over, the sheets were left unchanged, dirty towels,...

Stayed here last year, not a lot changed, the place is seriously in need of some TLC. Its clean and tidy, but old old old, the best bit the last visit was that breakfast, this time, not so much, although tasty, it looked as though everything was dished out onto the plate then left while the sausage was cooking as...

My wife and I stayed here for just the one night and upon arrival it was clear that the staff were friendly and helpful. This is where the niceties end. The place is very run down and tired. Our room (24) was adequate at best. There was a massive hole in the bathroom door and the shower didn't work!! Breakfast...

I booked this hotel for a surprise birthday trip for my husband & instantly regretted my choice! I understand it was cheap but I have stayed in many budget hotels & they have all been of a much higher standard than this one. Although it was probably very grand in its day - it is extremely shabby now. We stayed...

When I looked at the reviews regarding the Burlington I didn't know what to expect, but I was surprised. The Burlington hotel is OK, rooms were adequate for what we wanted a television, tea facilities, a wardrobe, 2 drawers with shelves, one double bed. Bathroom had shower sink and toilet the room was clean which is a big priority. No...
