There's something to be said about a place, offering not only nice and clean rooms, but also great food and advice on places to visit. Gerry, the owner of Haute Epine made sure that two students from Switzerland (my schoolmate and I) had a great stay in the Torbay area. If I ever find myself back in that area of...

Very nice little B&B In a good location for Torquay, Haute Epine has got to be the best place to stay on a budget. Rooms were impeccably clean and tidy. The ensuite shower room was very small but this is not unexpected. Susan and Gerry were lovely and most knowledgeable about the area. At breakfast nothing was too much trouble...

We stayed in the guest house this weekend over the bank holiday, both susan and gerry were lovely and always there to help when needed. the only downsides werethat there was a lack of hot water and that the bed was not the most comfiest. yet the hospitality that we received made up for the downsides ofthe guest house.

I can't say enough good things about our vacation at the Haute Epine. I have never met a host and hostess who worked so hard to make our stay a memorable one. Throughout our stay, Gerry and Susan were happy to help us plan excursions, or offer directions to local areas. They made us feel really welcome in their home....

Small Victorian terraced house in good state of decoration. A warm welcome from Sue and Jerry for whom nothing was too much trouble. Bottle water was supplied as water in rooms not suitable for drinking. Alternatives to the cooked breakfast such as poached or scrambled eggs were available and were more to my liking all cooked fresh. The negative points were...

I arrived at Haute Epine on the Saturday to be met by Gerry who took my suitcase straight up to my room, while Susan sat me in the lounge and made me a very welcome cup of tea, these 2 lovely people made me feel at home straight away, as the week unfolded I could see why people come back...

Stayed for 7 days in July 2012. We were spoilt from the moment we walked into their home. Nothing was too much trouble. Good home cooked food and plenty of it. All our needs were catered for. Gerry and Sue are the perfect hosts. Their living room is given to the guest to watch tv, dvd's and make use of...

Gerry and Susan are very welcoming to families and we felt instantly at home upon arrival for our 4 night stay. Our young children loved playing in the lounge with all the toys and games and sometimes seemed to prefer staying in to going out to the beach! The breakfast was delicious and very generous - a full cooked breakfast,...

I have just returned after staying for 2 nights with my daughter and infant son. We stayed in the family room and were welcomed from the moment we arrived. Susan greeted us and made us warm drinks and a cold drink for my daughter. There were games in the lounge and we were told not to worry if we made...
