Our stay was most enjoyable with our friends but added to that was the attitude of the very friendly staff who assisted you at all corners, our dinner service on the night of the celebration was second to none and without delay or episode. All in all this made our visit

Hotel's Favourite
The views from the hotel are outstanding and its position in Torquay is perfect. There is so much to do on your doorstep with no need for a car. This is my second visit and I definitely intend to come again, hopefully yearly.

At dinner on each of the two nights we had a mountain of spinach. Unfortunately it was very hardand inedible. It did little to give me enough strength to eat the rock hard biscuits that accompanied the very small portion of pate on the second evening. Popeye would havebeen in

Dear Arthur D Thank you for your feedback and I do appreciate your sense of humour. I am obviously sorry to hear of the issues you experienced and I promise to investigate this with the head chef to prevent a re-occurrence. I am glad though that this did not spoil your stay and are planning to return one day. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

Dear vincewhite Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you were disappointed with your recent enquiry and I will look into the issue you have raised. As you may not be aware the Imperial, Torquay was purchased by the current owner in late 2016 and since that time large sums have been spent to improve the hotel in many areas. Plans are in progress for a large refurbishment of the entire hotel to restore it to its former glory and beyond. Obviously this is not something that happens overnight nor without careful planning and sympathetic consideration. However, I can assure you that our intention is very close to your own wishes and I do hope that you will one day return and see for yourself the progress we will be making.

I’m pretty sure all ensuite, bathroom is as you enter room . Great hotel. Only thing is extra charges, I.e. sea view extra £15: parking £7 or £15 per night. Relaxing spot.
