Had our wedding reception at the Imperial. It was day and evening. Everything was faultless. Steph was fantastic!!! We had a gorgeous suite too. Fabulous wedding day, all our friends and family were really impressed too. Food, organisation, dressing of the room. Wish we could do it every year. The weather was also perfect. Shining sun all day, nothing was...

I know the Imperial Hotel from its glory 5 star days back in the 60s & 70s and it has been sad to see its decline in more recent years. However we have now returned 3 times for brief stays in the last 12 months and each time have very much enjoyed our visit. Our last 2 stays have been...

Have just returned from 3nights at the Imperial with my husband. The whole experience was really good. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room which was massive was spotless.Fresh towels every day.The restaurant was perfect.I expected the usual buffet style.but we had waiters and menus for dinner! The hotel itself is a bit tired, but renovation work is in progress.I imagine in the summer...

This hotel offers wonderful views across Torbay and a quiet, restful atmosphere, although the building is showing its age - very creaky floorboards in the upper corridors! Torquay town centre, harbour and theatre are all within 10-15 minutes walking distance. The food in the restaurant is of excellent quality.

The rooms are well appointed, the atmosphere in the hotel is relaxed and tranquil and the staff are first class. The hotel has a wonderful position overlooking Torbay. The walk to town is easy providing one can cope with a hill

Beautiful hotel and not over priced. Lovely breakfast overlooking the sea. Our room was seafaring with a terrace and was clean and spacious with bottled water, robe, slippers and smellies. We would like to return with our family.

Dinner in the beautiful restaurant was delicious, and the service was excellent. Our large room was on the top floor overlooking the sea and had a large balcony with picturesque views.Will...

This was a delightful surprise as I had read a few negative reviews. The outside needs a bit of paint but the inside is lovely. The reception area, lounges, bars and restaurant are clean spacious and give a relaxing ambience. We ate in the restaurant on Saturday evening which was good value with plenty of choice.A pianist was playing quietly...

I thought the hotel was lovely, no compliants. I booked through bookings.com and there were a few discrepancies on the invoice on departure but these were sorted promptly. The indoor pool and spa was lovely. We had a full body massage which was blissful. Indoor is a little small if they are busy, and being January no way we could...
